Awesome Locking Hasp! Used it on the Door I built for the new entrance to my 6'+ Crawlspace.. (Had to re-build High after Superstorm Sandy to keep flood insurance premiums under control). Now I can finally use the 1700 sq ft crawlspace for storage and keep my garage studio/workshop/greenhouse nice and usable!

I am unsure, as to the reason for this lock...
I am unsure, as to the reason for this lock literally falling apart in my hands upon opening. The lock came in its baggie type package, then inside the mailing envelope with no cushioning at all.
So, I don't know whether it's demise was caused by manufacture or mailing.

I have been having a hard time getting the key...
I have been having a hard time getting the key in and out the entire locking mechanism has come out in my hand on several occasions. I am not happy this this product at all.

Weak Lock and Tight Key
Locking turnbuckle is weak. Comes apart when pulling key out. First lock fell apart. I added oil to the second lock and it works but locking mechanism is not smooth turning and key still sticks.
