This is a nice heavy hinge. It would have done the job well had I looked at the gate on our rental prior to ordering it. I just knew I needed a hinge. Our gate is attached to a 4 x4 post, so this would not work. I wish it had, it is very sturdy. This would work if you are attaching to a rail so you have a longer place to attach it to on both side, not just one. It came with the bolts as well.
