Questions & Answers

Can these be used diagonally and horizontally

Asked by: Kevin
Yes. The bracket can pivot to any degree since there is only one screw.

are these made of solid bronze?

Asked by: hatman
They are neither steel nor bronze. I am guessing that they are zinc with some sort of coating on them.

What are the screw sizes?

What are the screw sizes?
Asked by: Adino749
I bought 7 packages of these recently. All the packages stated that the screw size was # 10. But 5 of 7 packages had #12s. The #12s work good for the 2" screw which goes into the wall stud, but a #12 screw, especially the 1 1/4" screws they packaged, will not work in a oak rail. It would take an impact wrench to drive them. #12s will work well in hemlock rails though. I bought #10 X 1" stainless steel screws for the oak rail and used the #12 X 2" screws they provided for the wall studs. Everbilt did not train the folks that packaged these. They should either be providing both sized screws or at least make it clear, what size screw is in the package and what the screw should be used for.

Can you mount a fully round handrail to this?

Asked by: zuke
No, the bracket is flat where it attaches to the handrail, so I wouldn't recommend it.
