Photo misrepresents quality
Chose these as they were a match for the brackets I'm replacing on our handrail that I'm refinishing. Picture shows they are smooth when in fact they have a casting ridge that runs the length of the piece. Makes it look like the cheap MiC piece that it is. Would not have purchased if the picture had shown the casting ridge. I'll be returning.

FANTASTIC
I put up my own hand rail with these 2 pieces of iron and a piece of scrap wood. I just painted the wood to look good. Very easy. I got tired of holding onto the window seal just to climb these 5 stairs. Looks great. Now can go upstairs alittle more easier. Thanks.

Looks GREAT. Vast improvement over the old 3 screw mount type. A quick and easy way to tidy up the stairway. Very solid build quality.
Made some little rosettes out of 1/4 inch oak to match the handrail and to give the mounts a solid surface to press against (rather than the weak drywall that can crack and dent over time).
