Yes. The bracket can pivot to any degree since there is only one screw.

Please, What is centerline depth (from wall mounting surface to center screws of rail plate) ?

Centerline depth is 2 3/4".

What are the screw sizes?

I bought 7 packages of these recently. All the packages stated that the screw size was # 10. But 5 of 7 packages had #12s. The #12s work good for the 2" screw which goes into the wall stud, but a #12 screw, especially the 1 1/4" screws they packaged, will not work in a oak rail. It would take an impact wrench to drive them. #12s will work well in hemlock rails though. I bought #10 X 1" stainless steel screws for the oak rail and used the #12 X 2" screws they provided for the wall studs. Everbilt did not train the folks that packaged these. They should either be providing both sized screws or at least make it clear, what size screw is in the package and what the screw should be used for.

What is the diameter of the round portion that attaches to the wall?

The base mount is 2-1/8" in diameter.

Can you mount a fully round handrail to this?

Yes of course. The included instruction guide literally depicts it supporting a round handrail.

Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot, Friend. Handrails come in standard sizes and distances from your wall/mount due to regulations. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future. Thank you for shopping Home Depot.

Is the Everbilt oil-rubbed bronze handrail bracket suitable for outdoor use?

Asked by MarcB March 16, 2016

Answers

This appears good for outdoor use. May fade over time. Not sure about screws if they will rust or not. The screws are quite heavy duty. My only concern would be the screws rusting if the coating was removed during installation which we all know would occur when screwing them in.

Looks GREAT. Vast improvement over the old 3 screw mount type. A quick and easy way to tidy up the stairway. Very solid build quality. Made some little rosettes out of 1/4 inch oak to match the handrail and to give the mounts a solid surface to press against (rather than the weak drywall that can crack and dent over time).

These handrail brackets are the only brackets I choose to use. Unlike the “wiggly” 2-piece brackets, once this bracket (Everbilt Satin Nickel Decorative Handrail Bracket) is properly installed, the hand railing is solid! The only negative I would report is that I might have more difficulty finding these brackets once everyone else knows how well they support handrailings.

Tf you can find the 2 x 4 wood stud the single screw in the middle is fine, if you can't you would be better off with the bracket with 3 screws and use hollow wall anchors.
