This banister support installs using the supplied hardware, with the post being installed against the wall, in line with a stud; and the clasp attached to the underside of the rail. The clasp and post allow for rails to be installed at a variety of angles to accommodate stairs with a wide range of pitches.

This Everbbilt black handrail bracket is very well made and very durable. We are replacing our handrail going upstairs and installing new handrail brackets. These brackets actually match up perfectly with the old holes in the wall from the old handrail bracket which this was hard to believe and we have no idea how old they are. These brackets are very nice and are very well made and should last a very long time. The finish on these brackets are excellent you can't ask for them to be any better. We have to highly recommend them.

This is a great set of handrail support bracket. It is very well made. I like the black color, it gives me that modern stylish look. The black color just sort of hides in the shadows under the handrail. This set comes complete with everything you need for one handrail support. Depending on the length of your handrail you need at least 2, maybe 3. Set comes with 3 long screws and 2 shorter screws for your use depending on your application

I needed this handrail bracket to replace a broken one on a handrail on steps to the basement. These brackets are a pretty standard design- except for the color it was a direct replacement of my broken 50+ year old bracket- I did not even have to drill new holes. You need to find a place on your wall where there is wood behind the drywall to get a secure mount- remembering that if someone slipped and grabbed the rail- there could be several hundred pounds of force on the bracket. While my installation was out of sight on basement railing I do like the black color that goes with some of the modern decor.

We bought the brass handrail bracket, the part that attaches to the handrail itself, uses the 2 smaller screws and the heads of the screws go right through the holes on that bracket.
