We do not sell the blow molded case separately, however, we do offer a Deluxe Canvas Bag that will allow you to store the nailer and and all of its accessories together. You can find it here: FTBRC01: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Freeman-22-in-Heavy-Duty-Tool-Bag-FTBRC01/207061413?keyword=freeman+tool+bag

What kind of nails are used for floors attaching to very hard oak stringers?

Asked by DIYsaver January 6, 2016

Answers

That depends on what kind of flooring you are putting down and what the manufacturer recommends. I used this nailer to drive through acacia wood with only one jam. I would say that it should drive l nail or T nails without any issues in oak. Acacia wood is 2300 on the hardness scale and oak is only 1299 on the hardness scale

Will it work on 2& quarter thick flooring

I think the max is 3/4 in thick hardwood flooring.

This flooring nailer is a great deal for the price. I laid over 260 feet of flooring with only one jam but keep in mind I used it putting down Acacia. To give an idea of acacias hardness, Hickory wood is 1740 on the hardness scale and acacia is 2300 on the hardness scale. If you are a do it yourselfer this is a great tool. Just remember that it will only fit so close to the wall because of it size as with any flooring nailer. I had to do the last three courses by hand and finishing nail just an fyi. If it wasn't for the one jam I would have rated it as a five star.
