Are these GE Swithes made in the USA? Why are they hard to find in local hardware stores?

is this switch rated for use with aluminum wiring?

I am glad I got to try and use this switch. When installing it I had no problems - my house is old and the switch fit perfectly so I am certain it will work anywhere.

You can definitely feel the extra weight and quality in the heavy duty switch. I put it in my laundry room, which I use the most, and I am glad I did. Had I known that the heavy duty switches were such high-quality I would have put all new switches in my house 10 years ago when we bought are retirement home.
Of course they're all standard size and issue to fit any electrical outlet and I would highly recommend them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the General Electric toggle switch worked great in my shed.It was very easy to install.The toggle switch seems to be made well.I am pleased that the switch is not real loose when flipped on and off and yet it is not to hard to switch on and off either.The toggle switch shows the wording of off and on.
