      Leaks constantly
I installed both a hot and a cold cartridge. The hot one is fine, but the cold one leaks constantly. By the time I go back to the store, exchange the faulty part and reinstall another one I'll have burned through half a day. Frustrating.

Not an exact fit for older GB faucets.
I installed a bath faucet some 10 years ago (?) and started looking for repair parts when it begin to have trouble (cold valve seeping and lime build up around handle for some time, when the hot valve begin to sound unusual when activated and it failed to shut off water flow when returned to the standard off position) I used google to search images of bath faucets and identified mine as a GlacerBay faucet. I downloaded a PDF manual where the faucet looks identical to my unit. The PDF says model numbers: 67091W-6A01. 67091W-6A02. 67091W-6A04. and 67091W-6A27D. The PDF identifies the hot and cold cartridges as RP20067 (hot) and RP20068 (cold). Searching for these parts on Home Depot comes up empty. I did find RP 90114 (hot) and RP 90113 (cold) and the pictures for the faucets that the parts fit have one that looks to be mine. Well when I installed the hot valve it became clear that the engineers have redesigned the cartridge and the handle bushing for the old valves does not work with the new valves without modification. See pictures. I down rated the product because of the inability to purchase the handle bushing to match the new valve profile. And I only recommended the product as it will do the job after you modify or find a suitable handle bushing that will replace the old bushing.

Hello Steve. Many changes can take place over the years in the manufacturing process of faucets even when it is the same model and that includes changes in the cartridge as well. If you are looking for cartridges and are not sure which one you have, you can contact the Home Depot Customer Care Department at 1-855-434-5224 and they would be happy to assist you further. They can be reached Monday thru Friday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST.

My bathroom faucet cold side was leaking whenever the faucet was turned on. After some research, I found this cartridge which was the cold side replacement. Remove the handle. Use a crescent wrench to remove the cap over the cartridge. Pull out old cartridge, install new one. A word of caution. If the handle has been leaking for a few months and the fixture is old, you may have a tough time taking off the brass cap. I ended up using a vice grip and FINALLY got it off. The new cartridge doesn’t look like the original. But, it did fit.

It works ! I have a old faucet that has been on the bath room sink since I moved in 12+ years ago, I had to take out the leaky old cartridge and find pictures of cartridges on line to match up a replacement. This one looked like a replacement that would work and it does, it works great with no leaks. The old one looks similar but not exactly the same how ever this one worked perfect as a replacement.

The part lacks the top collar that fits snugly within the Glacier Bay handle. The handle attaches to this part with a small screw, and the part contains a node that allows the handle grip and turn the cartridge back and forth. On my faucet, not only was the cartridge leaking, but the collar was broken. Without it, it's not much use. It is a small piece of molded plastic that fits over the metal node of the cartridge; it could easily be included with the cartridge without adding to the expense. The cartridge works fine (I am temporarily using an old shower handle over the cartridge until the glue dries on my collar fix). When replacing the cartridge on my faucet, (I first closed the hot water valve) I removed the red silicone cap on the handle to expose the screw, which I loosened with a hex nut wrench in order to remove the handle. This exposed the cartridge assembly. The aforementioned collar is screwed onto the protruding metal rod of the cartridge. I removed this with a philips head screwdriver to expose the cartridge. On my sink there is a metal collar around the cartridge. This is easily removed with a set of adjustable pliers. Then I use the pliers to pull out the cartidge. Note how the cartridge was situated: this will help you figure out how the new one should be placed. There are two nodes around the circumference of the cartridge that help "lock" the part into the faucet. They are identical, so before you reassemble the whole outfit, test to see if the cartridge is facing the correct way by placing the handle on top of the cartridge (with the collar on) and twist it back and forth to see if it mirrors the action of the opposite faucet handle. If it doesn't, take the cartridge out again and rotate it 180 degrees. Then reassemble. Don't forget to put that metal collar on. Sounds convoluted, but this actually changes out very easily. If you have pliers, hex nut wrenches, and a philips head screwdriver at hand, you should be able to replace the cartridge in 15 minutes. Unless the collar is broken, and unless you were initially sent the wrong part (both things that happened to me), in which case it can take about 26 days and counting.

It is such a relief to have stopped the wasteful hot water drip without having to call a plumber! Everything about this was easy - except the RP70193 bonnet nut that holds the cartridge in place was really hard to remove. TIP: pour some CLR and WD-40 on the nut and cartridge and let it sit for 20 minutes and voila! Easy!
