I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHALLOW HOUSING BECAUSE IT IS TOO SHALLOW FOR MOUNTING A HALO LED CONVERSION RECESSED LIGHT. THE TOP OF THE LED LIGHT INTERFERES WITH THE SCREW-IN SOCKET PLUG AND DOES NOT ALLOW THE BEZEL TO REST FLUSH AGAINST THE CEILING. IT IS ABOUT 3/8 OF AN INCH SHY OF BEING DEEP ENOUGH. ALSO THE FOUR RETAINING SPRING CLIPS ARE USELESS AND I HAD TO SCREW THE HOUSING IN PLACE BEHIND THE CEILING. OBVIOUSLY THE SALESPERSON WAS NOT AWARE OF THE INTERFERENCE PROBLEM WHEN USING THIS HALO SHALLOW HOUSING WITH THE HALO BRAND LED CONVERSION LIGHTS. NOW I NEED TO CREATE SOME KIND OF A SPACER RING TO MAKE UP THE DIFFERENCE AND ALLOW THE LIGHT FLANGE TO REST ON SOMETHING SOLID.

Templet came with them, easy to use to get measurements of placement before cutting holes. Easy to wire, snaps in place to drywall. I will be buying more to install in my office next.

good Buy!
I decided to buy this product to replace an old ugly fluorescent light that was in the kitchen, when I bought the house. After further inspection the fluorescent light was giving me problems over 2 years so I decided to replace it with a new fluorescent kit or recess lighting. I decided to go with recess lighting remodel, so I can place the recessed lights where I want them to produce more light at. The recessed lighting was easy to install, and you can place the lights where you want them, it makes a difference and looks great, giving off much more light. I know it was a good investment.
