EASY ASSEMBLY
Just bought this umbrella yesterday. I read the reviews before I purchased it. The solar connection was already plugged in, so I didn't have to worry about manually making the connection myself! Very simple & good manufacturing by Hampton Bay. After sliding 1 pole into the other, & installing it into the hole in my patio table & securing it into the base, it was ready to go! Very good ambient light at night.

Absolutely AMAZING! This outdoor umbrella is wonderful! The solar powered LED lighting feature is brilliant and works great. There is a switch to turn it on or off located at the end of one of the main arms. The overall quality is excellent - (material, lighting, pole, etc.). It opens and collapses easily with the hand crank. In fact, it does it smoother than any other patio umbrella that I've owned in the past. The "chili" red color is perfect for our needs and matches well with other outdoor patio furniture that we have. Assembly is super easy and consists of connecting the lower post section and snapping it in place. The angle of the umbrella can be adjusted as well. If you're looking for a great quality umbrella that has unique included LED lighting, this one is the one to get. You will be happy. We are very satisfied with this one.

This 9 foot patio umbrella cranks up and down. It has a sturdy aluminum 1.5” pole. It can be tilted and locks in several tilt positions. We love the red (“Chili”) color. One of the really nice features is the LED lights that are powered by the small solar panel/rechargeable battery pack that attaches easily to the top of the umbrella. The “ribs” of the umbrella all light up, and there is a center light around the pole. The lights are switched, so you can turn them on or off as needed. It looks really great after dark. While it might not be bright enough to read the fine print of the newspaper, it clearly provides enough ambient light under the umbrella to see comfortably to eat. We are pretty happy with this umbrella, and can’t wait for warmer weather to come back so we can start enjoying it again.

This is the best canopy I've ever had. Very easy to install and remove. The quality is very good, the crank works very well and the tilt works very well. The solar powered lights are great. i have to put stuff in my garage in the winter months, so I saved the box it comes in for winter storage. All my outside lights are now solar. I will use this canopy for a long time.

This is a stylish patio umbrella. We needed a pop of color with our grey and beige set and this does the trick. 'Chili" looks like a brick red. Easy to assemble and seems sturdy in the breeze. Not sure I'd want to test it in harder winds, but certainly would crank down the umbrella if need be. As it is, I plan to detach the pole and store in the shed until springtime.
The only surprise to me was that this product does not include the stand. No worries, Home Depot has a couple of good choices that fit the size perfectly. The interesting feature of this umbrella is the LED lights underneath. At night it provides a soft glow that is stylish and functional. The chili patio chairs available in the collection (sold separately) look good with this umbrella.

This umbrella is a great addition to my outdoor dining set on my deck. The umbrella comes fully assembled, so you can just set it up, turn the crank, and be in the shade. The color is nice (chili), and it seems like a very sturdy umbrella (as far as umbrellas go). It does not come with a base, so you will have to purchase one separately (or just use your current one, if this is a replacement umbrella). The solar LED lights are a nice bonus. They don't provide a lot of light, but they do give a nice glow that adds to the visual interest of the piece.

They came up with a way to let you use your umbrella at night. This is a cool concept, you not only get a excellent quality umbrella that opens to 9ft. You get an umbrella that has a head that tilts and it is illuminated underneath with LED lights. The lights form a bright ring around the pole end extend out the umbrella arms for a great visual effect. The lighting is not super bright, I can't read by it but should be bright enough to see to eat. Best of all the lighting is solar so no cords. The umbrella cranks up and down effortlessly with a handle on the pole. I hope it lasts. Great color to.

The market umbrella was easy to assemble and only took about 5 minutes to attach the screw-on solar panel on the top and the bottom section of pole that snaps into the top. Once assembled I placed the umbrella on my 60" round patio wrought iron table and complements it nicely. The crank handle is slightly hidden by the fabric but was still easy to reach and crank the umbrella into position. Once deployed the umbrella looks great and offers good coverage without being unwielding. Once the umbreall is fully deployed if you continue cranking the handle it will activate the tilt mechanism to the desired angle. The switch for the LED lights and the switch are incorporated nicely into one of the umbrella arms and the switch seems to be encased in a waterproof enclosure for durability. The LED lights offer a nice glow to the patio table without being glaring. They may not be bright enough to be the only source of light around the patio table at night but do a nice job of soft lighting the area. The fabric is a nice rust color that's called chilli by Hampton Bay and looks great with my patio set and landscaping. The fabric appears to be water repellent and look forward to getting lots of use from the umbrealla.
