This Hampton Bay Linear Track Lighting Head provides an abundance of light and sophistication to your interior space. It features a multi-directional lamp head to provide light to difficult places where light does not reach. A linear track section and power supply is required (sold separately) or use as an add-on to a Hampton Bay linear, Commercial Electric or H/EC (3 BUS) track lighting system that you already have.

Light from three angles
We have used these in two projects now, and I'm sold. Light comes from the front, filtered light through the mesh on the back (uplighting the ceiling area), and the band around the casing, giving it a contemporary look. They were really easy to install and they give alot of light without being harsh. We used them in an old beach cottage with low kitchen ceilings and they look amazing. Then we added them to the kitchen in a remodel with vaulted ceilings. They still look amazing. However, on the vaulted ceiling, they disappear a bit more - not as much of a statement as utilitarian task lighting.

I had a single center LED kitchen light that failed to light up my island so I was on the search ...
I had a single center LED kitchen light that failed to light up my island so I was on the search for a solution. Track lighting was the best way to get the island illuminated. I wanted a very simple clean track head that wasn't expensive, since I had to get at least 7 of them. I purchased 8 of these on homedepot.com and one arrived with a cracked ring, otherwise the rest were in good shape. I have a Phillips smart hub, so my plan was to replace the halogen with Hue white dimmable LED lights, so I could control the island separate of the kitchen lighting.
For the price, the lights are a good quality. They swivel but not completely but you can turn the base to get the angle you need. The included halogens are brighter than LEDs but they burn hot and use a lot more electricity that I don't think they are worth it. I am giving the track lighting 5 stars because at this price point, with the track cost, at under $200, it looks a lot more expensive and is really flexible on how you can use them. .

Happy to have these
I am happy to find replacement track lights for a Hampton Bay fixture installed 20+ years ago. However, one of the lights I purchased is defective (bulb won’t connect in slots), so I need to exchange that one.
