Q:I have something that is 36" and I think the Harper Convertible 400lb hand truck might only be 30". I have 6 foot folding tables I want to lie on their sides and use the 4 wheels position of the handtruck to pull the tables.

A: The hand truck bed is only 1 foot wide by 30 inches long in the four wheel position. 6' tables on their side would be fairly difficult to manage while moving.

A: The capacity of this truck is adequate, but I would select a hand truck with wider tires and larger casters for rough terrain. You cannot replace the tires with a wider tire, the axle / keeper pin location is made for the narrow tire. Pneumatic tires or foam filled 10" or larger tires are your best bet for your application.

A: The truck can handle up to 400 lbs. of cinder blocks. However, the tires are very narrow and depending on the soil compactness, the truck may be hard to push or pull through the garden. I would recommend a wider 10" pneumatic tire for garden applications.

This little hand truck was perfect for moving items. It converts easily from upright to flat. I have used it everyday since I got it, it holds about two good sized totes and then fits into my prius easily once items are loaded. I also use it for carrying groceries, something I didn't consider when I bought it. I highly recommend this hand truck, it is worth every penny!!

I have not used this yet, but just wheeling it to the garage it seems like the wheels wobble. It did not come in a box, it comes like the picture above except it seemed like mine had been used. There was no plastic over the bottom and it looked like something had been on it.

The pin attaching the handle has to be pushed in...

The pin attaching the handle has to be pushed in HARD! Even doing that until I heard it click, it fell out while I was moving it. Couldn’t find a new pin in time to move so I had to tape an allen wrench into the hole. Disappointing.

Decent hand truck for the money

This hand truck should work fine for your light to medium rated job. Seems to be fairly well built. One problem came up the first time I used it. The cotter pins that secure the handles to the rest of the cart are very loose and fall out very easily over rough surfaces. I needed to modify my pins to fit better. Hand truck works fine now.
