This is a beautiful door bell. However it is very difficult to install because the two posts for attaching the wires are too close together. So it is nearly impossible to attach the wires without shorting them. There should at least be an inert plate separating the two so that there is no chance of a short or the orientation of the two posts should be on opposite sides of the posterior assembly. I did not install it and bought another doorbell.

The Home Depot product specifications and description for this product contained no electrical specification so my assumption was that it was electrically compatible all bell chimes. On receiving the item I saw the packaging stated that it was limited to 16 volts (did not say whether AC or DC). I measured my voltage at the wires at the door to be 25 volts AC, so no point in installing an item that will prematurely have a burned out bulb...
This is a rating for Home Depot's marketing of this (unusable to me) item rather than the item itself, but it will at least warn others of the problem,

Beautiful classic design
This was to match other items at entry way, ie, mailbox, and light. Halo lighted design is nice touch. The existing hole was a little tight for this button, and the wires were very short and stiff. I broke the first one trying to get it back out of the hole, but learned from my mistakes and exchanged without problem. Now it is installed and working perfectly.
