    A:  Thank you for your question. No, due to the DC motor, color temperature changing light kit and smart features, this fan must be installed with the included remote receiver. The only acceptable wall switch option would be one standard on/off toggle style switch.

          Almost Great
          The wifi antenna must be exposed from the canopy for proper signal, but it’s hardly noticeable if you tuck it properly. The app didn’t find our wifi network initially, but I was able to enter it manually. It’d be nice if you could schedule cool white for daytime and warm white for nighttime, but the app doesn’t allow it (yet). Also, there is a minor buzzing sound from the lamp when the brightness is reduced. It becomes noticeable at 50% brightness and even more so at 25% or less. YMMV
