It took a while to figure out how to keep from getting runs but once I got it down the paint finish was great. I used it with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. It was much faster but it didn't spray as large of an area at a time as I was expecting. Easy to clean.

This sprayer worked as advertised. I suggest several practice sessions, first with water, then with paint. Be sure and dilute the paint as instructed, and be doubly sure to clean the unit completely after each use. Cleaning is not hard, just a little messy. I painted a mantle for my fireplace (3 coats + primer). I had some runs at first, but cleaned them up, and re-sprayed later with a fine finish. Again it takes some practice. It generally takes longer to prepare the paint and clean the unit after use than the actual painting time. There is minimal overspray.

Bought for DYI projects which included painting four Adirondack chairs my husband built. Worked perfectly. I was able to follow instructions and do with minimal help from hubby. Would recommend to friends and family for DYI projects around house. Picture was taken in basement because weather was not cooperating, they are bright white. Coverage was easy and fast. I am a over 50 female and was able to work with it without problems.

great product, nice result
If you suffered through the old Wagner sprayer, that spit, sprayed unevenly and everywhere, you will be so happy with this product. The results were nice. I used it for my cabinet doors, turning them from oak to white. Adjusts from a super-light spray all the way to a much heavier spray. It's lighter weight than the old dinosaur. HVLP helps the fine finish. The overspray is minimal. Extremely easy to clean! You don't need the cleaner attachment. You just run soapy water through it, and open the nozzle to clean the needle, etc, and it will be like new for you to use again. Caution: keep it at right angle for even spray.

Gets the Job Done Faster!
This paint sprayer gets the job done faster than I could with a paint brush and roller. I was able to complete all of my cabinet doors (2 coats) in under an hour. It takes a little getting used to and I recommended using a practice piece first to understand how it sprays, but overall I like it and it was worth the purchase. It does produce a higher picture noise so I wear hearing protection. The overspray was no where near what I thought it would be though so I didn't see the need for a face mask (although if I was indoors spraying, I would wear a face mask).

Best new toy around
Loved the ease of this product. Only con is straining the paint. We used an old piece of screen. Highly recommend straining all paint. One little clump and it blocks up.

Well worth the purchase price!
I don't know a great deal about finish paint sprayers and I've only used this sprayer for a short time but in my opinion it is already worth the price I paid. I own a Graco commercial sprayer (ProX9) that I use for house painting with latex. I needed something small for a home project to paint 2'X4' panels with enamel for a yard game project, and I also wanted to try it out refinishing our doors and cabinets. I really wasn't sure about using enamel in my Graco, so I purchased this figuring 'what could I lose'. I've only used it on the panels so far, but I have to say that this thing rocks! Very nice control both vertical and horizontal fans (haven't used the cone setting yet) and once I learned how to control the heaviness with the trigger knob, I was good to go. I plan on purchasing another for colored paint so I can dedicate this one for white, and also buy additional (optional) containers and lids so I can keep the paint in them and not have to clean up between jobs. The only thing that's a pain is getting the locking gasket and seal off the base of the sprayer to clean them - not a big deal. Great little unit and lays down a nice even coat of paint in a short period with pretty good control on width/volume/pattern of spray. Nozzle is very simple, but quality of pattern is directly proportionate to keeping the pin valve clean and undamaged. The quality is good for a home use sprayer but probably borderline for commercial use, but well worth the money. I don't use a paint sprayer frequently so this is completely acceptable for my level of use (once every 6 months or so). Even if I were to use one for a small business I'd consider this one. Cleanup is simple and straightforward and the unit stands up fine to acetone thinners and mineral spirits cleanup. I can't speak much to the durability over time as the unit is new, but it appears it is solid and seems like it will hold up very well. I tend to purchase high quality tools with good service warranties but I don't know if I can see the benefit of buying a unit costing 3-4 times the price of this one. I've upgraded several tools on repeated use without regret (routers, tile saws, drills, house paint sprayers, etc) from small home-use systems to better made and more precise commercial systems but I don't think I'll be upgrading this one anytime soon. If I used one every day or in a professional capacity I might see the discriminators. If/when the motor burns out on this one I'd probably just toss it and buy new for the price. There is no integrated filtration/screen for the paint, so it probably isn't tolerant of low quality or old paint with particles, but again, that's not a problem for the intended use. Highly recommend it, particularly if you can get a service/replacement warranty to cover failure if you're using it heavily or use by someone who isn't careful about cleaning (as with any sprayer).

Awesome sprayer!
Researched; ordered online because of reviews. I figured bad reviews were from those who fail to thin properly. I was right. My Home Depot best quality water-based enamel said to thin no more than 8 ounces - I had to thin it 32 OUNCES and this airless sprayer worked flawlessly! See the pictures for yourself. Two hours of use and almost no drips while shooting the ceiling. See photo. Some advice: get a bucket of hot soapy water and a small pan of rinse water. A toothbrush for scrubbing parts and an ear swab and bent paper clip to keep air channels clear. Clean parts frequently while paint is damp, not after it dries! I will order a spare paint bowl for quick soapy water cleaning between refills. PROS: not noisy like Wagner sprayers, this IS an AIR sprayer with a strong motor atomizing the paint inside streams of air yielding a beautiful straight-line pattern. There will be overspray from all the air, so my wall corners sprayed the next day did overspray some up onto the ceiling. Best use is with adequate taping and covering of nearby surfaces. Plastic used in molding this sprayer repels paint well, and dried paint even came off with hot soapy water and scrubbing. CONS: must use screwdriver to wash the air filters. Should have been a twist-on top like the bowl. If the motor leads were longer and had a quick disconnect we could immerse the handle for easier cleaning. Plan on 45 minutes for cleaning at the end of the day. Don't let the paint dry in the air channels!!! And DO thin to the required timing of the included 'run-out-cup'. I'm happy with my purchase for the price.
