Questions & Answers

can I use it to cut vinyl baseboard?

Asked by: andrewmoreyou
Yes.

how do you change the blade

I have to do a lot of fret work and I must thread the blade through a drilled hole before cutting, so I must change the blade quickly and often. How does one change the blade?
Asked by: craig
loosen the handle by unscrewing, and then flex the hoop a little to pop the blade out and reverse for the new blade. Retighten the handle. You want the blade very tight.

Will this cut curves on 1/8" hardboard without splintering?

Asked by: pb
Yes, but it may be rough. In general, the thinner the material the more teeth per inch you need.

how much are the blades?

Asked by: Tracy35l84
If I remember correctly, about three or four dollars for ten blades.

I have to admit that this saw worked just as good as my smaller coping saws. It took just a bit of getting used to due to the fact that it is a bit heavier.

Okay; really this saw allows you to make fine angle cuts. I used these to make coping cuts for crown moulding and it made easy work of the solid wood molding. I did about 7 different cuts and the blade was still very sharp.

It was nicely packaged in it's cardboard holder but once removed, the saw was bent and not short enough to install the blade. It should have been inspected before being shipped.

Attached is a picture of the finished product. It was easy to cut in different angles and to cut rounded edges. It got the job done. Highly recommended!
