Sundae Single Handle Single Hole Bathroom Faucet in Polished Chrome

I am a big fan of Kohler, but was not happy with this faucet. The faucet itself is good quality, but everything else is cheap. The drain stem and plug are cheap plastic with gaskets that are too small for a proper seal. After initial install, the stopper leaked as well as the gasket sealing the bottom of the sink to the drain stem. In order to get it to seal, I had to really crank hard on it with adjustable pliers to a point where I thought for sure the plastic stem would crack. I have installed dozens of these and have never had to crank that hard to get it to seal. I bought two and both had the same problem. In addition, the supply lines are very short and would not reach my water supply lines. Further, the supply lines are made of cheap material (not braided metal jackets, but something like polyester) and are small in diameter limiting proper flow of water. I then had to buy 1' hose lines in order to reach! It seems they cheeped out on everything except for the fixture itself. Note I bought a competitor's faucet for my second bathroom and had none of these problems.

The faucet was the perfect addition to my bath remodel. It looks great and was easy to install. Since my sink was already pre drilled for 3 holes/8 inch spread, I paired it with the Kohler Graze 8 inch spread escutcheon plate. The chrome finishes matched perfectly.

I got this Kohler as part of a guest bathroom update. All fixtures and accessories were changed to nickel finish. This faucet was excellent match. The included escutcheon is used for the three-hole sinks. The drain stop is the pop up assembly (push to close-push to open), which eliminates the rod attachment to the underside of the sink. The service lines are 3/8 in. pre-attached reinforced flexible tubing for direct connection to the water supply with outside diameter (o.d.) 3/8 in. thread. The faucet uses some type of flow restrictor, probably based on government regulations, but I thought the flow on this faucet was too restricted, but is useable. Kohler specs state that flow is restricted to 1.2 gpm. The control valve is ceramic. The installation instructions are minimal consisting primarily of numbered drawings. There is no requirement to use plumber’s putty or silicone. The installation is basically easy and simple, unless the old water supply pipe and shut off valve are not compatible with the 3/8 in. female faucet service line fitting. If you run into that situation the old shut off might have to be replaced. If you run into a problem it will no doubt be related to the old existing hardware. Otherwise, this Kohler Sundae faucet is good looking, easy to install, with acceptable performance. However, I may do research on how to remove the flow restrictor.

I love this faucet! First off, it's a Kohler, so you know it's great quality. When you pick it up the weight of the faucet feels substantial. The finish looks great ...I would expect it to last years if not decades. Installation is very simple ...pretty much exactly like other similar faucets. The operation of the handle is simple and feels smooth ...again like one would expect from a quality faucet. Finally, the instructions are clear and well-written. Just a nice product from a great company.

I love my new KOHLER Sundae Single Handle Single Hole Bathroom Faucet. The faucet is a sparkling brushed nickel that hides the water spots and smears sometimes left by the family. The only negative is the drain top which tends to retain water on it. The faucet was super easy to install and the instructions were complete and easy to understand. The one-push drain to open and close works easily. It is an easy twist to occasionally remove the top to clean andy hair caught in the drain. The height of the faucet makes it easy to wash your hair in the sink.

This faucet is well built. It has polished chrome finish. The body and the handle is made of solid brass - feels really good. The base is made of plastic. The action of the handle is light and smooth. The supplies are 3/8". The installation requires 1 hole sink and I would really recommend this faucet for larger sinks due to the extended spout reach. I like this faucet a lot!

I recently acquired 3 Kohler faucets that I will be evaluating. They are similar in some respects, and I will highlight those similarities and differences. The Sundae, Easmor and Willamette faucets all can be used on bathroom sinks with one hole or 3 holes on 4 inch centers. (The Williamette is a battery-operated touchless faucet whose basic design looks much like the Sundae.) They all come with an escutcheon plate to cover the two unused holes since they are single handle faucets. They all mount the same way using a metal U-shaped plate and extended nut to hold the faucet body to the countertop/sink by a threaded rod. Each comes with enough pre-installed connector hose to reach most sink shutoffs without an extension. Mine all have the bright chrome finish that appears flawless upon inspection. The handles operate very smoothly. The Sundae has an arc to its spout like the Williamette and unlike the Easmor. The clearance from the spout to the base of the faucet is only slightly higher than that of the Easmor. The handle on the Sundae has a heftier feeling in the hand. Given a choice of the Easmor or Sundae, for most people it will come down to personal preference. Functionally, the faucets are the same while the Willamette is motion-actuated and comes at a higher price point double that of the Sundae and Easmor for that functionality.

This KOHLER Sundae Single Handle, Single Hole Bathroom Faucet in Vibrant Brushed Nickel is made of quality material and gorgeous looking. I am installing it in our guest bath but with the looks of it I may have to get two more for the primary bathroom as well. The Sundae series is a very elegantly designed single-handled faucet for the bathroom sink. Love the curve for its classic look. Kohler makes high quality product using ceramic valve. Installation was easy. We love the glamorous Brushed Nickel finish. Highly recommend it.

Kohler is a reputable brand and well known and respected. The high arc is modern with nice curves to accent most bathrooms. The single handle is easy to operate and makes it ADA compliant.
