Works, but description is misleading.
I was getting ready to order so I could check a used car a family member is looking at. I figured for the price it would a handy little tool to have when needed. From what I’ve learned it’s easy to use and very accurate. It uses a chemical liquid that it dispenses into the headliner and then recollects it for analysis. I was looking to see how much the refill chemical was and learned it’s a single use, disposable product, which I don’t think is mentioned anywhere in the description.

Very helpful
Bought this test with no expectations because I had never seen something like this before. I suspected my sister was smoking cigarettes in my car and I needed a way to prove it. Tried it and it was positive. Worked great.

Great tool for parents
My 7 year old daughter has severe asthma and cigarette smoke/thirdhand smoke triggers her asthma attacks. I tested our new nanny’s car to make sure she wasn’t a smoker because she often drives our daughter around during the week. The car was smoke free and gave my husband and I peace of mind. Very cool product.

Works as described with accurate results.
I bought one to test a used car we had planned to buy. It's a manual test that releases then collects a testing fluid when you press it upwards into the headliner upholstery. The results were extremely accurate and I was able to negotiate the price down on the used car we purchased, which means the product paid for itself. DO NOT use the test facing downward or on the seats / armrest fabric. The test will not collect the fluid properly and may give inaccurate results.
