Looks amazing and easy install
Happy with product and installation. Can’t wait to install the rest of the house.

Don't use this if you have a dog that drools.
Beautiful floor, easy to install, however, if you don't immediately wipe up any liquids, it stains. I tried to clean with the recommended solution of alcohol and distilled water but it didn't take the spots away. I'm open to suggestions if anyone knows how to fix this problem.

      Scratch proofing needs improvement
Went with this product over normal LVT because we liked the finished look better. Did a TON of subfloor prep and laid down 1500 SF of this stuff. I thought the installation was pretty easy, but you could quickly tell spots where the subfloor was not perfect because it was much harder to get the click-lock to fit together. Do your subfloor prep right and you should not have any trouble installing. Once installed, the floor looks great and feels great underfoot. There was a little clicking underfoot, but now that it's all down and acclimated we barely hear any residual clicking. The only spots we hear it is where the subfloor was not perfect. So, again, do your subfloor prep right and you should be very happy with the look/feel of this floor. The ONLY problem I have with this floor is the scratch resistance, or lack thereof. It may not be an issue with a lighter color, but the bamboo veneer has a wear layer coating on top of it, and the wear layer is prone to hairline scratches that show bright white and stand out like crazy on the dark bamboo. I found a fairly close color match marker, but I feel like I'm going to run through a whole case of them before long. Like other users noted, sometimes even the vacuum will leave scratches. It's bordering on comical. We bought this floor because we thought it would be LIFEPROOF and it's clearly not. If the scratch proofing actually worked I would highly recommend this product, but as it is I cannot recommend.

        unpleasantly surprised
I purchased these online and the pictures make it look much better than it really does. The boards have these dimples on it that look like someone took an ice-pick to it and i am not in the least bit crazy about it. took me forever to settle on this and as much as i dont like it, the thought of having to go through the return process, wait for a refund and then have to start all over again leaves me with no choice but to learn to accept it as it is.

          Scratches easily
Installed 1/31/20. This flooring brand is more difficult to lock together than other brands of interlocking vinyl flooring. The tabs are easily damaged if not done correctly. Also, an in-experienced DIY-er or someone who does not pay attention to detail will likely not realize that they have broken the tabs or that the planks are not fully locked together. After I got the hang of it though, it finally came together and looked good...for a few weeks. Then the scratches showed up. I would NOT describe this product as scratch resistant. Under the wood dining room table/chairs it is absolutely ruined! It is also scratched under the children's toys like Lego table and play kitchen. These are wood on wood SCRATCHES, not scuffs. Not caused by metal or anything sharp. The cheap wood laminate flooring we removed/replaced lasted over 10 years without a scratch under that same table. I am disgusted! What a waste of time and money. AND it's not covered under warranty by HD or LifeProof. DO NOT RECOMMEND for DIY installation or unless you are prepared to take care of it like fine china to prevent scratches. Not sure the pictures do it justice, but the scratches are very noticeable on this dark flooring.

            SCRATCHES TOO EASY
I saw this flooring online and fell in love with it. During new cabinet installation, only 2 weeks after floor installation, the floor already has several scratches. I am worried this floor will be scratched terribly within a few months.

The flooring is so beautiful! Pretty easy to install. I would say easy if you have some experience with this type of thing. My 17 year old daughter and I installed this ourselves with no experience! Quite satisfying!

              So easy to scratch
The first day I dropped a hammer because I was getting it out of my room to clean, and it got a very bad dent on the floor. I haven't even moved my furniture back into my room and I see big scratches already. So, I don't recommend it at all. It was pretty expensive, and the person who helped me order it said it was a very good quality, and it wouldn't be so easy to get scratches, but apparently it wasn't true. Everything you do to it is pretty noticeable...

                Quality product
I put the alonsa bamboo flooring in 2 rooms a few weeks ago and it turned out great. The main thing is to make sure you hammer each piece together on the end and the sides to make sure they are locked good before going to the next piece and keep an eye out as you go to make sure none are slipping out.

Beautiful flooring but NOT scratch resistant.
We installed this floor a couple weeks ago in our cabin bathroom. I couldn't have been happier with the results until I noticed scratches showing up all over the floor. Unless you plan on gently walking on this floor with only socks on, I DO NOT recommend. I do have dogs but they are not running in this small bathroom. I can't imagine how horrible this floor will look after six months of wear.

                    Happy with this product
My mother purchased these floors for me as a house warming present back in August 2020 and we're both very happy with them. Home Depot helped us with the ordering and hired the crew to come out and install them for me. The crew arrived early and had the floors installed by 1pm. They did a really good quality job and cleaned up after themselves. We're glad we chose this product for the overall look and happy with the end results. The only problem we face is that this floor isn't available for stairs so now we have to find something that matches which has been a bit of a struggle

                      This floor is horrible!
This is after I mopped. Everything shows up! It shows any where your pet licks the floor. If someone walks on your floor with boots it shows! You will be so sorry if you get this flooring. It’s like it’s defective.

                          Lifeproof Vinyl Plank Engineered Click
I installed shadow hickory with ease in 4 different rooms. After that experience I would have highly rated this product. Recently, I purchased the bamboo LifeProof version of it now 1.5 years later and it didn't click and connect together at all. It would hold at first, and then when working the other planks making small adjustments they would come apart and some wouldn't stay connected at all on the short, 5 inch edges of the plank front and back. There are either bad batches of Lifeproof flooring out there with flaws in their engineered click , or the BAMBOO style is severely flawed because of the plank connectivity issues. If you really want bamboo give it a try, but it doesn't go together like the other vinyl planks of LifeProof in my experience. I returned the bamboo. If you buy this and get a box and it isn't going together properly, either try a new box, or return it all and get something completely different. Hopefully you will have better luck than I did. I consider myself lucky to have such a good first experience with the product and incredibly unlucky to have such a poor experience with it the second time. I'm buying an entirely different brand now and waiting for it to ship. Its not worth the 50% chance to get another set that won't go together properly.

Lifeproof always has a great product but this new engineered bamboo flooring might be my new favorite. This flooring looks like real bamboo without the worry of it getting ruined. Being waterproof is also very helpful because you can install this in any room without the fear of it getting ruined. These planks are a bit thinner than most of the lifeproof. Easy installation and very soft of the feet.

Lifeproof has out done themselves yet again. Engineered bamboo flooring that looks like real wood and is waterproof. Very easy to install and soft and wash on the feet. There’s more padding on this flooring making it bouncy and light. The flooring looks real and has a nice finish to it. The grey is a neutral color and goes well with many different wall colors.

Looks and feels like real wood with all the ease of high quality click install laminate. Love the color variations and the scraped appearance of each plank. No need for adding more underlayment (depending on subflooring) as each piece is backed with rubber tread like seal. Installation is straightforward depending on experience. Many tutorials are available for DIYs. A sharp cutting tool is necessary. Easy care, water, stain and scratch resistance in a wide range of colors makes this flooring an excellent choice for an upgrade or a new home. Recommended!

Nice print, stays locked together ............................................................ This is an unbiased review that is unaffected by the fact that I received this product for free. As proof of impartiality, just click on my nickname and see the average of the ratings I have given over 300 reviews to date. I wanted to evaluate two styles of flooring to be installed in my kitchen. I had this one and another one of a lighter design. I started with the other one and chose to not use it because it was ugly and did not stay locked together. For this one, I laid several planks as specified in the instruction sheets. Each was "snapped" together and laid on the floor. These come with rubber backing already attached. The sided are beveled but not the ends. I left them on the floor for a week while I rated the appearance and security. I love the design. It looks like real dark wood. I was impressed with the integrity of the locking. After a week, the planks remained locked together. So, I will be using them in this room. I found the other set to be much poorer in appearance and security. So those will not be installed.

Very impressed with this flooring. Engineered flooring has improved vastly since the early days of Pergo. While the product is advertised as Bamboo flooring there is only .050” of wood on the top of a rigid plastic substrate. The bottom of the flooring is capped with a sound absorbing rubber base. This provides an easy to install product that is very stable. I found the color of the wood attractive and unlike other reviewers, the color was reasonably consistent from box to box. It looks nothing like typical bamboo (see side by side photo below). The surface of the wood is varying in texture and stained a nice dark color. I tested the “waterproof” claim on the box and was again impressed. I immersed a cutoff of the flooring in water for 24 hours with no issues, which makes me believe their claims that the product can be used for kitchens and bathrooms. I also tried simulating wear by trying to scratch the surface with a number of items…shoe heels; wood simulating furniture movement & desk chair wheels. I was only able to scratch it when I dragged a dishwasher across it (steel feet) and the damage was minimal and nearly unnoticeable. The price of this flooring is reasonable too. $3.63 per sqft (at the time of this review) places it in the middle tier of engineered hardwood. The only fault I could find with this flooring is the hollow sound it has underfoot. All floating floors have that echo sound that a nail or glue down floor overcomes. While the rubber bottom on this product helps a bit but the industry still hasn’t solved the problem entirely. One other consideration is this type of flooring can’t easily be refinished. The textured nature and the ultra-thin layer of wood make re-sanding a no-go. But it is so easy to install replacement would be the solution when it shows an accident or wear. I give it a B+. Note on installation- The hardness of the product does a number on your miter saw blade. Buy a dedicated blade for this install as it likely will be trashed at the end of the project.

This Lifeproof bamboo engineered flooring is the first bamboo product I have used. The thin top layer is bamboo, the middle layer is a stone polymer composite then a rubber type bottom. The surface has been treated to be waterproof. This is a click lock floating floor installation. No added underlayment is needed above grade, but I kept mine as it was only two point five five mm thick. Three mm being the cut off thickness. This is the Gallaway color combination. Saying it is a color combination is what it is. There are three basic color designs. Two are browns. One is a very dark brown and the other is a lighter brown. Both have light areas running throughout the boards. The last one is a beachy grey with tan look. The browns were the dominant color which would be way too dark a look for this room. I added some light oak boards in the mix to brighten it up. The oak boards were the same thickness of seven mm as the bamboo, but a slightly narrower width of five mm. The bamboo were five point twelve mm. So they were used in rows by themselves. The installation was not as easy as other click lock flooring I have done. It was hard to keep sections locked and together and had to redo parts many times. I was frustrated but will persist. I did pics of it to date, because not sure when it will be finished. Even though this has real wood on the surface, it looks like a laminate. This does come in many more colors and combinations to choose from.

We are upgrading the flooring and decided to install the LifeProof Stargazer Waterproof Engineered Bamboo Flooring. The flooring clicks together easily and is a breeze to install. I love the light brown color and the bamboo provides a natural look not found in most engineered flooring. The 7 protective layers provides durability and scratch resistance. It’s also waterproof and is ideal for use in kitchens, baths and basements. The bamboo flooring is 5.12 in. width x 36.22 in. length and 7 mm thick, and includes a preinstalled backing layer. It’s much heavier than most engineered flooring and is very high quality. The cost per square foot is rather expensive, however this is a premium product, which looks elegant and should provide decades of maintenance free use. It comes with a limited lifetime residential warranty.

Fantastic product but don’t be fooled. You cannot cut this product with a blade knife as suggested on the video. For ease, I used a table saw a jigsaw. Highly recommendEd!

We used this in a 13' x 14' room. Installation was ok. It takes a little more time to get used to perfecting the lock on this product as opposed to several others I a have used. Total time was about 6 hours to install. The bamboo fibers on top are thicker than you think and look fantastic on the floor. You need to be a little careful cutting the across the bamboo, a dull blade can pull them loose on the edge. It does scratch rather easily, so put pads on all your furniture. We have only had it down for about a month, well see how well it holds up. I am looking for a furniture marker with the right color to hide a couple scratches. If you use an office chair in this room , which I do, put the roller blade style wheels on the chair. I would give it 5 stars if I wasn't nervous about scratches.
