What is the actual width of the stairway
What is the cost to have somebody install the ladder?
I was able to get a carpenter in to do it for 350$. They replaced my existing attic ladder. It took two of them just under 2hrs. If you need more of a frame modification than I did, expect it to be more time and money.
Louisville Ladder does not install these. You will have to ask the install salespeople at Home Depot what they charge.

Since you have a 24-inch-wide opening, the 25-1/2" x 54" will not fit. You need the smaller 22-1/2" x 54" attic stairway.
what is needed for mounting the ladder
All the mounting hardware comes with the attic stairway, except for the shims.
My ceiling is 12' 4". Which model unit could I install? will this one accommodate with the leg extensions?
No, this attic stairway will not fit 12'-4", this unit fits a maximum ceiling height of 12'-0". Louisville Ladder does not make an attic stairway that fits higher than 12'-0". Anything higher than 12'-0" is considered an industrial-type attic and you would need to find a company that makes those.

Yes, it has a handrail on the right-hand side on the top third section.
We finally installed this ladder after the rough inspection. The package is missing the rubber foot. The contractor said they were not in the box at all. Can you mail them to me?
