It says the assembled width is 2.7. Is that the base? Or is that the width of the hooks? I need to know exactly the width of the base. Thanks.

It was difficult to install it because the mounted bracket was not levelled well with the body. i had to put a spacer under the bracket in order to be able to tighten the screw in the body.
