I would not buy this
I got this as a gift or I would have returned it, how do you use a tape that hooks at about one inch? I’m in cement construction for 30 years, I have never seen a tape that doesn’t hook at zero!

New hooks stink
A new end hook has attached. I bought 2. Both hooks broke within a month. 1 within aweek. Ilove this tape with the old hook].

New design is a failure
I use a tape measure daily for work. The new design of this tape measure is a failure. The end of the tape has been re designed and it will not stay in place. I am unable to use this tape measure and had to replace it immediately.

Quality Item, Lifetime Warrenteed
Well-constructed unit for the price. Tape pays out and retrieves well, and feels like it would be near impossible to kink in normal usage. Unit housing is made of high-impact plastic, and features rubber overmolding in both the grip area and on the feet. Will stand and even pay out on a nice flat, even surface, but it doesn't take too much to tip it over. Used it in a sanded, snow-covered driveway the other day, and the "grime guard" feature works well to remove debris from the tape as it's retrieved. Recommended.

Fast windup
I received this 300 foot open reel tape today, it was a nice surprise to find it has metal planetary
gears, metal handle and nylon covered steel blade.
This reel is built better than any previous tape I've owned. I like the extra large hook on the blade
and the blade wiper (I have never seen that feature before).
`This Milwaukee open reel tape comes with a lifetime warranty. Its a pleasure to use very smooth
coming out of the reel and it winds up fairly fast.

Nice 300' Tape Measure
This is a solid tape measure.
Folding handle with spinning knob.
Hook and loop at the end.
Easy read.
Fast Roll Up with gearing.
Non stick, non tangle plastic roll.
Solid plastic case with rubber coating.
This tape works well, another well made milwaukee product. The handle is fairly ergonomic making it very comfortable to hold. The rubber coating also makes it up top the handle for more comfort and grip while wearing gloves or in the event things get wet.
The folding handle can be moved into a position so when unrolling the tape you aren't constantly getting hit with the handle.
The end is designed to attach to just about any material. Wood, screws, nails, drywall, anything you can hook, loop, tack, the list goes on.
I am very satisfied with this and I am glad to finally have the right one. It is rather large, not sure how it could be any smaller though.

It’s a good tape measure but will not hold on to a screw for squaring up a building. The Closed 100’ works better. I bought one of each and wish I would have bought 2 of the closed 100’ tapes
