Unusually small sizes but work perfectly......................................................... This is an unbiased review that is unaffected by the fact that I received this product for free. As proof of impartiality, just click on my nickname and see the average of the ratings I have given over 300 reviews to date. I don't have many instances to drill a hole in masonry material smaller than 1/2" diameter, but if I ever did, these would work just fine. I tried 3 sizes on an old red brick and the drills went very fast using a Milwaukee 1/2" hammer drill. It took just a few seconds to drill each hole all the way through the brick. It went so fast that I failed to release the pressure near the end and the bit broke through the brick, taking some material with it on the bottom side. They should work better when I am used to going this fast. Each bit has 3 flats on the end to accommodate a normal 3-point chuck. The set comes in a clear plastic case.

very good bits. just punched 20+ holes in concrete to attach uni-strut for conduit. and first hole to the last was done with relative ease. i like the flat shank for secure grip and no slip during use. like any of these bits let the bit and hammer drill do the work. it prolongs the useful life of the carbide tip. Milwaukee makes good tools and these stand up to the name. the plastic case comes in handy to store them.

A small set but a very useful and good set of hammer drill bits. Noteworthy items: • These are serious bits made for masonry and concrete applications. • The sizes included in this set are some of the most common used sizes. 5 different sizes of bits with 2 of the ¼ bits. • Carbide tips and overall construction will provide extended uses compared to many on the market. Keep in mind that all of these types of hammer drill bits have a much shorter life span compared to standard bits. • Price is fair for a set of this quality. • 3 flat side shank design to hold in place. • A nice hammer drill helps when using these bits to get the full benefits. With the exception of the tedious work it takes to unpack these bits, I couldn’t find any issues. It’s a nice little set and that anyone with a hammer drill will appreciate. Milwaukee is well known for their quality products. I fully recommend.

I consider a lot of hammer drill bits disposable. Prolonged use, even on a single hole in concrete can destroy a bit that is not capable of handling the heat generated. Many have a maximum speed allowed for this reason, which is often lower than the drill that I am using. These bits seem to be capable of repeated use, and have no maximum speed indicated. They get hot, but seem to be able to handle the heat. The 1/4 inch size drilled two inches into a concrete foundation wall in less than a minute. Old concrete can sometimes be the most difficult to drill, but I had no problem here, and the bit looked just as good when finished. To be sure, the bit does only half of the work. A good hammer drill is also needed, and in this case both were Milwaukee. They make a good product, and their tool line has been expanding a lot lately. Everything that I have seen has been high quality, well designed and manufactured. As far as the case for these bits, it is a little confusing at first. Just slice the paper label at the ridge, and the top will slide right off, so that you can reuse the case. Maybe there could have been some direction on the label. A very nice set of bits, that should last longer than most.

Perfect! High quality bits for masonry in a convenient case. This is the perfect set - all the right sizes for most smaller jobs. I don't drill concrete everyday and because of that usually have to go looking for my bits. At least in the convenient case, I will always be able for find them. These are really good bits made in Germany. The three sided flat shank design prevents the bit from slipping in the chuck. In my m-18 hammer drill (with the 9 amp hour battery) these go through concrete like nobody's business. Perfect for tap-cons and plastic anchors - in fact the set includes two 1/4 inch bits which is generally what I use for anchors. Great set of great drill bits that will definitely get the job done!

Durable and nice features in this set of Milwaukee hammer drill bits. First of all, it carries the Milwaukee brand name which is among the top brands for the professionals and even the DIYer. The bits are high quality and easily cut through the cement block that I used as a test. For a masonry drill bit, you can’t go wrong with these. Added benefits include the three-sided shank that will prevent slippage in the chuck and the thick plastic carrying/storage case – just be careful when initially opening the package that you don’t cut the plastic. Just cut the paper label where the upper and lower halves of the plastic case meet. Very nice set if you are looking for a multiple bit set to have in your toolbox.

The Milwaukee 6 piece Hammer-Drill Bit Set contains the most commonly needed sizes of hammer-drill bits. Whether you need to drill a hole in concrete, concrete block, brick or masonry, these bits will easily do the job when paired with a hammer-drill. The bits have a total length of 6 inches and are carbide tipped for long lasting durability. Sizes range from 1/4 , 5/32, 3/16, 5/16 and 3/8 inch. There are two ¼ inch bits giving you the total of 6 hammer-drill bits altogether. One important thing these bits have is a 3 flat shank design to give the hammer-drill the best grip on holding the bit tightly. If the bit was round, then the hammering action may cause the bit to slip. These bits are designed to be used in both corded or cordless hammer-drills. On the downside, the only thing I didn’t like with these hammer-drill bits was how hard it is to unpackage them. I literally used a tin snips to cut the top off and had to be very careful so as not to damage the bits since there is not much room in the packaging when trying to break it open. I’m sure it was done as a part of theft protection while its displayed in the store, but I would like to see more thought given on how a consumer is going to get these drill bits out without going through a lot of work. I don’t know what the answer is, but it is very inconvenient as it stands right now, hopefully it will be addressed in the near future. Other than that, they work incredibly well, I had no problems drilling through concrete with these bits.

With the 1/4” sized bit my hammer drill easily penetrated a one inch deep hole in my concrete patio in less than fifteen seconds! That was too easy! I needed the hole for an anchor so I could secure a D-ring for some netting. The bits come in a small, plastic, throw away package, but I would have preferred it if they came in something you could use for a simple, storage case instead. The size is engraved on each one for permanent identification. The shanks have three flat sides providing for a secure grip by your drill. These quality bits are made in Germany.
