This tape is just plastic that is aluminum colored and I do not recommend it for anything. I recommend using (aluminum) foil tape. Nashua 324A is an appropriate foil tape but for a smaller project you might consider Nashua 322 which is a smaller roll and only slightly narrower. 322 worked fine in my recent dryer hookup job.
yes, this tape can be use any where on a dryer vent.
yes
Yes, that is what I used it for. After I connected my flex hose to the ridged duct that goes through the wall, I wrapped the joint with this tape to make it airtight. Go around the joint 2 or 3 time with the tape to make it airtight . I installed a 90 degree elbow to my dryer and I used the tape to seal the joint between the dryer and the elbow, and I sealed the joint between the elbow and the flex duct. I the tape does a great job of sealing any air leaks.
Yes.
I'd only use it on the return air side of your HVAC ducts. Supply side ducts in the winter can get hot and I don't know the high temp limit of the tape.
Thank you for your question. Yes, Nashua Dryer Vent Installation Tape can also be used to seal kitchen vents. Best of luck with your project.
I think water heater tape is thicker, This tape is thin and easily molds around the dryer vent hose to make an airtight seal. make 2 or 3 wraps.
I would NOT use this product on a stove vent. it is designed for low temp applications. Using it on a stove vent, it may melt or even worse, catch on fire. Look for a product designed and recommend specifically for a stove vents.
Good question. I'd ask Nashua
