Excellent quality and safety
They're thicker than other pads, so they do NOT let the rug move, thus safer than most I've tried. The checkerboard-like pattern makes it fairly easy to follow to trim as necessary, and the pad is easy to cut with ordinary household scissors. These are also not likely to discolor vinyl plank floors, unlike most rug pads, because they're made of PVC (so are the vinyl planks, unfortunately).
I bought 2 so far and will stick with this brand if I need more. Highly recommended.

We have a rug that our dogs constantly run over and it slides all over our wood floors. It’s right in the entrance way so when people come over we hate that it’s always crooked. Since we got this grip mat it keeps the rug in place 95% of the time now. When it does move it doesn’t move as far. It’s been so nice to hold it in place. It’s really nice that you can cut it down to the exact size you want with just some house scissors. We decided to cut it an inch or two shorter all around so that if the rug moved a little the grip mat wouldn’t pop out and so far it’s been working great! Such an easy and affordable way to keep a rug from sliding all around. This worked perfect for us and I like that you can’t even tell it’s under the rug!

I recently secured a 5’ X 8’ area rug for one of my carpeted rooms. I noticed that the rug migrates absent a rug pad. I selected the Mockins non-slip pad because of air flow through the porous checkerboard design. The sturdy pad is reversible and washable. I ran a vacuum over the pad with no snagging. Installation was effortless requiring no trimming and no more rug slippage.

The previous owner of the house I bought left some decorative rugs with the house. They have been a hazard for some of my older guests, as they are very slippery. I have tried numerous items including Ruggies and other carpet tapes to keep them in place. Nothing has worked. Until now!
This Mockins brand non-slip rug pad is just what I needed. It fit perfectly under one of my rugs without trimming. I immediately tried making the rug slip, but I couldn't. I have used similar products for drawer liners or underneath smaller items like a desk phone, but was unaware of these for rugs.

Mockins Non-slip Rug Pad
Mockins offers a rubber pad for under area rugs. The concept is to help keep your area rug or runner from slipping, while protecting those beautiful hardwood floors from scratches. The unit I evaluated measures out at 3’ x 5’. It can be cut to fit to desired measurements. I cut this pad with a heavy duty pair of scissors after squaring up the edges. (The unit was not perfectly square out of the bag.)
The material is much thicker than other pad which I have purchased for the same purpose. It is not tacky to the touch but does provide an acceptable adherence to both the under surface of the area rug and hardwood floor. It produces a thicker or more plush feel to the rug as one walks down its length. I used my very energetic pup for the slide resistance portion of the review. He experienced difficulty in displacing the rug from the pad, and displacing or bunching the pad as he ran down the hallway repeatedly.
I only have the unit for less than one week, so am unable to comment on UV resistance, ability to clean or degrading wood finish as I have experience with other pads.

The pad seemed nice and definitely provided some cushion for under a fairly flat rug that we have, but after it was in place a couple weeks, we moved it to clean and discovered that it permanently left marks all over our LVP. Not happy. Don't use on LVP or LVT.
