How do I reset the code?
Don’t worry you will get a notification before the battery is running out. <a href="https://doorlockfriend.com">We really like the lock!</a>
I installed this lock when I moved to my house in orlando fl. in 2009 and it is still going. I removed the thumb unlock knob from the inside cover so the lock is always locked outside when the door is closed. We get lots of visitors and short time residents and having a code lock eliminated the missing or lost key and the constant need to change locks. I programmed a series of codes into the lock (it holds 19 at a time) so I can just issue a number to anyone that needs to access the house. I replace the battery yearly and have a bypass key just in case the mechasiam fails but have never used the key. I like the fact that the key slot is situated sideways making it very hard to bump.
No
Yes, they should be able to rekey at the Home Depot
No not a deadbolt
There is not enough information to allow an exact answer. We have four of these locksets and have had zero troubles with them.
If the contractor or other person has your Schlage password supplied with the lock, nothing. You can delete unwanted account that have been entered into the lock
No, its 4 digit codes only can't use 10 digits
I replaced the inside lever with a Schlage door knob. And you can even replace it with a door knob---something you may want to do if you have a dog or small child that is drawn to the lever. The lever on the inside has a small spring loaded rectangular pin. You push in the pin with a pointy object (I used a small screw driver), and the lever comes straight off. I replaced mine with a Schlage door knob (actually from the set I was replacing). The knob with the lock is set up the same way. So if you remove that, and then remove the lock mechanism from that door knob, it slides right on and locks in place with same rectangular pin. After I removed the lock from the door knob, I glued on the button from the old inside door knob to hide where the lock was. It looks great and works great. This is a much safer arrangement for our puppy that is always testing his limits.
