This floor was everything I shopped long and hard to find. We LOVE the look. We had a professional install (who we have used many times). The couple of weeks all was wonderful. The 3rd week we would hear pops when we walked on the floor. The end pieces were not staying locked. Our installer would come tap them back in place, but it continued. We have also had an independent Vinyl floor expert inspect the floor. The padding on the end interferes w/the click & lock. We are still not fixed. :(

The floor was very easy to install and turned out beautiful. We are very happy with it.

I ordered this flooring because I’ve had very good success with Shaw products and I liked the simple, clean look. It was easy enough to install with the exception of the short ends, I could feel and hear the click together but there was still a significant lip. So I had to take a hard square and about an inch from the edge hit the block really hard along the length of the edge. That seemed to work. This disappointed me since I’d never had to do that with a Shaw product before. The other criticism is that this shows footprints and smudges really badly. I expected it so show crumbs it particles because it’s so light in color but I was surprised by how badly it shows footprints. Wouldn’t choose this particular floor again.

First time at installing any type of flooring ourselves. Love the color and end result - just what I had in mind. Had watched a lot of videos where they make it seem so easy to install, that you can just use a utility knife. Wrong. Luckily we ran into a nice gentleman in flooring aisle at store who recommended using a laminate cutter. Life saver, made the job so much easier (purchased online thru another online retailer). As other reviewers have noted, the edges on the flooring that snap into place are very easily broken. One thing we realized after getting started is that you will have a lot of waste -- depending upon the length of your room and cuts needed. Although you can reuse some cut pieces in the next row, we did end up with tons of leftover pieces we couldn't use because of the way the pieces need to click and lock into each other, not to mention several of the boards were damaged due to the click and lock edges breaking off. In the beginning of installation, we were having a tough time getting the pieces to click and lock correctly. Watched some more videos to get the technique down - sometimes helps to lift up on the board to snap it in. All in all, we are pleased we were able to accomplish this ourselves. We almost gave up first day after finding out utility knife wasn't going to cut it, but after getting the correct tools, the installation went much smoother. Have had no issues after installation thus far - use floor protectors on the bottom of all furniture. Use an inexpensive little stick vac to clean, have not had any spills so can't speak to that. Only two of us with no pets or kids at home, so very little wear. Can't speak to longevity or durability. This has been installed for only a few months. Tools used: laminate chopper, spacers, tapping block, rubber mallet, pull bar, tape measure/ruler, square, oscillating tool (to cut door jambs), wood miter cutters to cut quarter round molding, jig saw to cut vent holes.

I've put in a couple of different floating floorings in our house in the last few years and I'm sold on Vinyl plank flooring. The "SHAW MONTANA" flooring is easy to work with and after you got the first three rows locked into place it went quite fast. I used a jigsaw for the long and weird shape cuts which worked great. I bought a flooring cutter to cut the proper lengths which was a real time saver. I laid this over concrete floor in our basement. I put a coat of sealer on the floor first even though the instructions did not call for it. Like all concrete floors, mine was not completely level but the flooring laid nice and the end result is fantastic. I'm very happy with the attached underlayment so I could just put this down in a single step. The end result is a very nice looking, quiet floor. We are so happy with the bedroom we did that we plan to finish the rest of the basement in this flooring.

It is water proof and perfect for damp areas, such as kitchens, bathrooms, hallways and laundry rooms. The planks are easy to cut and install without power tools, although a router or multi tool is helpful for corners and precise cuts. The seams lock together easily without gaps. It has a very nice wood grain look, is easy to clean and requires no maintenance.

Love this product. I only got once box for our RV to make sure that I liked it and now on my way to get another one. It was extremely easy to cut with my table saw and my circular saw. None of my pieces chipped at all. The click and lock plank is easier to use than even the peel and stick. I am concerned about the movement in the RV, but in a home I think it will be just perfect.

Four of its stand above features are it's 100% waterproof, great for Bathroom, Laundry, Kitchen or Basement installation. The second stand above feature is the attached padding. No need for separate underlayment. Saving both time and money. This padding helps prevent noise and adds comfort under foot (cushy). Third is no acclimation time is required. Fourth is it can be installed over concrete or wooden floors. We are finishing a room in our basement (concrete) and are happy with it. Another aspect is you can also purchase coordinating trim and molding. The installation is tricky as the click lock edges are very fragile. They are liable to break or shatter easily. We had several break, you need to be careful when handling and installing them. They are easy to cut. A rubber mallet and tapping block helps in areas that need a bit of a nudge. It is always recommended that you purchase 10% extra to allow for coverage. I hope my review is interesting and helpful to you, and assists you when choosing Laminate flooring.

The color of this 100% waterproof luxury vinyl plank flooring from Shaw is grey-brown with streaks of white or grey tones, giving the flooring an aged and worn appearance. The flooring is almost 1/2-inch thick, including the pre-installed underlayment. The click-lock edges are paper thin and brittle, so you need to be careful handling so as not to break them while removing the from the box as well as during installation. A 1/16-inch thin rubbery feeling underlayment is pre-installed, so you will not need to purchase or install underlayment before putting down this flooring. The underlayment has acoustical properties to reduce noise and add a bit of an insulating and acoustical barrier, which is important if the flooring is installed over a cold substrate like concrete. The edge of the planks is square, not beveled, and fit tightly together. Each plank features a grain pattern that closely resemble that of natural hardwood planks. There are 12 planks per case, and a case covers 23.64 sq. ft. Each plank in the box has a slightly different grain pattern, and I did not find two of the same grain patterns in any one box. The flooring installs quickly and very easily, and can almost be installed without tools, but I used a mallet and a tapping block to ensure the planks fit tightly against each other. The grain pattern is pronounced enough to provide grip, so the flooring isn’t slippery. When installed, it’s difficult to distinguish this premium vinyl plank flooring from natural hardwood flooring. Even though the flooring is thin, it takes on a lot of depth after its put down. I have never been a huge fan of vinyl, but I really like this flooring and my only qualm is that extra special care is needed when butting the planks together so as not to damage the click-lock connection points or chip the ends. This flooring is made in China and is 100% waterproof so it can be installed in any room of the home, even a damp basement, and is rigid enough that heavy objects won’t cause indents. I purchased a mallet, a bag of spacers/shims, a pull bar, a tapping block and a pair of knee pads which made installing this product very easy. I still have more flooring to put down, but the part of the floor that is finished looks great, and I am very satisfied with it.

It is water proof and very easy to clean. By wiping the floor, you can clean the floor cleanly. This has silence acoustical pad on the bottom. This actually helps the floor noise. Click lock system makes very easy to install. You just need to size it, cut the plank, and install it. No glue is needed. This is the simplest and durable solution for your floor need.
