No, and if you could, the result would be terrible. You really need considerable hand control.

Does the SHURLING PAINT EDGER PAD have the threaded feature to use with an extension pole?

I’m beyond thrilled that I ignored the negative reviews on this — I saved myself a TON of time. As several others have already stated...and I can’t reiterate enough...DO NOT DIP THIS PRODUCT DIRECTLY INTO THE PAINT TRAY. This works like a dream if you take a highly quality brush and manually add the paint to the pad. Be sure to do this carefully and slowly because once the paint gets on the wheels, you’re absolutely screwed. I had no issues at all with this and even bought an extra for whenever my next painting project arises. As you can see by the photo, it’s not perfect but even with a textured ceiling it was well worth it.

This is a must have for interior painting, does all the edging, no problem. Only thing I use for edges. I have 3-4 of them. Just remember to buy refills for the paint pad.

This edger was a disappointment. The price was ok, but the unit had a tendency to drip. It also left a 1/8-1/4"gap between the corner and the edge of the painted area. You cat cut in the edges with an angled brush though... it's just an added step that shouldn't be necessary. The handle of the tool feels decent in the had, and seems well made. But the wheels tend to get paint on them because of how the paint rolls up the sides of the pad. The pads are easy to install and remove. Home Depot used to sell a blue version of this edger (I am not sure if it was a different model, or was a different brand) that worked much better.

Takes practice!!
This edger takes a lot of practice getting used to. Before you actually start using it I would practice loading up the edger with paint so that you can get a feel for how much paint to load it up with. Also if the corner joints of the drywall are very bumpy it will give you problems when you go over it with this edger pad. I find when you are edging up against things like trim, which have a nice flat edge to the drywall, this edger works perfectly. It just takes getting used to before you can really knock out a lot of edging!!!

Great idea but...
The concept of this product is great, but the wheels only work against the ceiling or thick crown molding edge. did not work well with thin edged base boards. The pad is the worst thing of this product, had hundreds of little tiny strands come out of the pad and on to the wall with the applied paint; impossible to get them all off the newly painted wall. Tried 2nd pad, this time making sure all the loose strands are out by rubbing it on my hands and dry wall, still same thing after couple of edges.
