Avoid at all costs, poorly made product, fails to secure into the piping tommy docks also sells leaving you in a situation where you feel you are wrenching it in right but the auger has come lose losing it in the much forever, waste of money, total garbage, much better solutions out there for the money. Look at the picture this is all thats left after I lost both!

Wrong part? They are not even close to 12" long. They are about 8" long.
I am not sure why this should matter as the parts are nice castings with powder coating. I think they should be just fine. There is also a dimple cast 180 degrees opposite from the threaded bolt. If I am correct, it shows they cut a fat corner to save money on fabrication cost.

These only fit the standard size dock poles. The Tommy Dock I purchased through Home Depot came eith heavy duty poles. Home Depot website documentation is very crude and does not make these distinctions. Home Depot does not even sell the heavy duty augers. I had to order directly from Tommy Docks.
