A:  It simply screws on and off the paint eater tool

            by|Aug 29, 2022

A:  There is a pin locking mechanism on the tool that allows you to tighten or loosen the disc on the screw head.

A:  Thank you for reaching out to us. Make sure the Paint Eater™ is turned OFF (O) and unplugged before performing any inspection or cleaning. A:  There is a disk lock button on the lower part of the unit. Push & hold the lock button in and turn the old disk counterclockwise until it comes off. Install the new disk by turning clockwise while still holding in the lock button.

                      Goes through discs too fast
This unit does as advertised but with one glaring problem. The discs wear out way too quickly. Picture attached used 2 new discs and 2 older ones I had previously.

The disks really in a way does Eat Paint & what ever is underneath it, so be careful. It last a good spell depending how you control it. It seems durable under use. Expensive depending on how and what you are doing.

Right, brick or concrete will wear the disc faster than wood. And it will eat the wood if you allow it too! Let the tool do the work, don't push on it. Good luck with your projects. WagnerSprayTech

The pads could be a little cheaper because when you give a little more pressure to smooth out what your doing they have a tendency to wear out quick but other that that they save a lot of time and eat the paint and feather pretty well and to clean it just rub on some concrete. I would give excellent mark but "price" but its a nice pad easy to put on and take off nice and sturdy it won't come apart on you.Overall its nice tool conflicted over price I might be a cheapskate.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this product. I took the pant off the test piece I did quicker than it took me to get it out of the box and set up. This machine is the greatest. No more scraping again!

                          Faster than Oldschool
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Right out of the box I wasn't sure if the Painteater would decrease my prep time by much or not, might even just eat up the wood. My project prep time using the Painteater was 3 hours. Without it I'm sure it would have taken all day to get the same results using wire brush and scraper. Because of the ease of this tool I did a much better job in my paint removal. Overall I like the Painteater and would recommend to others.

Wow, what a great paint remover!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried my new Wagner Painteater and I sure wish I had something like it long before. It was real easy to assemble the sanding disk. I checked it out to make sure it is easy to swap out also and it is. I first tried it on 2x4 painted yellow. It peeled the paint off in a heartbeat while also making the wood smooth. It was real easy to figure out how to use the sander. I thought I would give it a try to remove paint from a small concrete angel that was peeling paint. I really wanted to see if it would get the paint in the crevices. It peeled the old paint from the angels back very well. Then I angled the sander a little and it cleaned up the crevices. I would highly recommend this product next time you need to remove paint.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Incredible little paint eater. Now I am done with sanding papers and scraping tools. Now I am able to remove the old paint faster than ever before. The preparation process before painting goes a lot faster. My hands doesn’t get tired anymore thanks to my brilliant choice of my purchase. I like Wagner products because of their designs and ability to do the work they are made for.

Bit expensive but works great at removing paint. I used it for my deck and it worked great. When I got chunks of paint stuck on the disc I used a though bristle to scrape it off.

                                Great paint scraping tool
I bought a PaintEater this summer and it has done a terrific job scraping the paint off my cedar siding. I was hand scraping but with this tool it takes a fraction of the time. It has performed flawlessly. I've gone through two pads with how much I've gotten done and I'm going to get another to start scraping another section of my two story house. The best part is the siding after scraping is in great shape and ready for staining.
