Questions and Answers for 2 x 4 Basics Flip Top Bench Table - Sand

A:  The Flip Top bench is designed to be constructed using 2 inch x 4 inch cuts of lumber, but you are free to use whatever material you choose. You may paint the bench as well if you'd like, but it is not required. Please note, painting the brackets themselves will void the warranty.

A:  There is only the supplies to make one bench(minus the 2x4s which you purchase separately)

A:  It includes one bench.

A:  One bench/table unit per kit.

A:  The Flip Top bench table was intended to be used with wood, however, you may customize the table as you see fit.

A:  It only comes in two pieces. It amounts to half a picnic tabletop.

A:  In order to build a traditional picnic table with benches on each side you will need to purchase 2 kits.

A:  It's up to the builder. I brought regular lumber and just stained it.

A:  You can if it's going to stay outside especially if your not going to stain it.

A:  My husband used pressure treated lumber in the still functional, Flip top bench that he got 9 years ago. It's withstood rain, ice, sleet, snow as well as wind gusts up to 50mph. No splinters and the added weight of pressure treated lumber certainly kept it well anchored during the windy times. He'd definitely recommend it.

A:  2x4 Basics products have been tested at the dimensions provided in the instructions and cannot provide weight restrictions for constructions outside of the predetermined dimensions.

A:  I added braces in certain spots to make it stronger and it came out great!
