      Answer This Question

A:  These studs may be purchased individually, or in bundles of 10. Because these studs nest together, a bundle of 10 is approximately 4" x 7" x 10'. Full pallets are also available; check with your local pro desk for pricing and shipping on larger quantities.

Q:Can this be use for outdoor structure for example Bbq island
          by|Feb 1, 2019

          Answer This Question

A:  Although non-structural drywall studs like this are not intended for exterior applications, I have seen these studs used successfully on non-commercial outdoor do-it-yourself projects. The main issue is the corrosion protection: drywall studs have only a G40 equivalent coating, whereas thicker, structural studs have a heavier G60 coating. If these studs are enclosed and not exposed to moisture, and not in a corrosive environment, they should last for several years. However, if they are in an area where they may be exposed to salt or persistent wetting, they may need additional corrosion protection. A better choice may be using minimum 33 mil thick studs, with a minimum G60 coating.

            Answer This Question

A:  Our 3-5/8" x 10 ft 20 gauge drywall stud does not have a Florida product approval number. Like 2 x 4 wood studs, these are considered standard products, and therefore do not require Florida product approval.
