Answer This Question
A: Hello - Thank you for asking. We only have one tape we can recommend for use on wood. Please take a look at our Scotchblue Painter's Tape for Delicate Surfaces #2080. It will have an orange core and can be left on the wood floor for up to 60 days and still remove cleanly. Duct tape may or may not damage the finish if used on hardwood. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please connect with our team directly at 1-800-494-3552 Mo-Fri 8am-4:30pm CT.

A: They are probably never going to answer your question because you're putting it in the wrong place! There's a little box to the right side of the screen that says "feedback" -- I would recommend clicking that and asking them there.

Q:Can this duct tape be used for waterproofing the connection between a shower's wall tile and its granite base?

Answer This Question
A: Haven't done specifically this kind of thing, but generally I would avoid using tape in wet and dusty environments. The water will seep under the tape, and the bond between the rubber/polymer (basically glue) and the surface weakens, and the fine dust in dirty water will further block the tape from sticking to the surface. Very soon your waterproofing tape will come loose. If you want to seal a shower space, use caulk or silicone sealant. Equally cheap/inexpensive and can be found in the same store.
