A:  DandJ - great question. I think the manufacturer should have provided such a wall bracket to improve stability for concrete floor installs. We could have, but did not, improvise a way to install some type of wall bracket in our case. Our tub filler sits between the rear wall and the tub, so there is little chance of someone knocking into it. Before the concrete was poured to fill the sunken space where our old tub was previously installed, for our tub filler's base anchor, using 2x4s, we reserved space for a 4x4x4" box to accommodate the incoming water lines and provide a subsurface for the base anchor. With 4" long TapCon screws attached to the base anchor, we filled the 4x4x4" box with quick-setting concrete and stabilized the tub filler with heavy objects and left it alone overnight. Very stable with very little sway. If someone could knock into it, I think the tub filler body would give way before the base anchor and those cemented screws would yield.

A:  Painfully, yes. Our install replaced a spa tub that sat inside a 4-inch deep concrete subfloor with drain on left end of old tub. After re-routing the incoming water lines and outgoing drain line, we used 2x4's to create boxes for the rough-ins before pouring the concrete to level the floor. Ultimately, we sacrificed having access to the shutoff valves (which are now locked in concrete). Any plumbing issues with the new tub will now require shutting off the main house water supply. Area around water lines had to be filled in with concrete to create a firm base to which the tub filler would be anchored. Warning: the three-sided floor anchor has one (and only one) orientation that results in the front of the tub filler body (once fully threaded onto the floor anchor) facing forward. You have to be super precise in terms of orienting the floor anchor before you drill your holes.

A:  No. Faucet has separate hot and cold lines. You just need to get your incoming hot and cold lines connected to the respective hot and cold line hoses provided with the faucet. Your plumber will be able to tell you which type of connector is best for connecting your lines to the faucet's hoses.
