A: Water will evaporate and splash out over time, add more water as needed.
A: I add water every couple of days.
A: Well it kind of depends on temp. but also how windy it is and how many birds stop for a drink. Sunny and 90 , we prob. do a 1/2 refill a week. you will see the flow slow down when it need water.
A: Yes. You just have to keep an eye on it. It depends if the sun is directly on the fountain or not.
A: I love this water fountain this is the nicest water fountain I’ve ever had and I’m a general contractor… Nothing impresses me… Or very little I should say water once a week I live in an incredibly hot area with full sun of course she won’t keep it going all the time because it would be a drain on energy so I only plug it in when I can be out there to enjoy it
A: I live in Florida and the temperatures are going up. I find that I have to add water to it no more than about a half a gallon per week. But that also depends upon the humidity level. I really enjoy this fountain it’s beautiful
A: I believe that is probably correct. We live in a warm climate, and I think my wife adds water weekly.
A: A lot of adding water to this fountain depends on location & wind. Maybe about 2 gallons every other day. We are happy with it. Shopped other places and this was the best priced.
A: You have to keep a daily eye on it. One more thing, cleaning on ours was monthly, drain hose out clean filter's & so on. That was w/using a vinegar solution for the water, birds still drank from it. Also it's loud enough you'll want to have it a good distance from it for your regular outdoor seating. It does look really cool though, I had one person ask if I made from an old log.(He may have been drunk???)
A: My fountain is outside at the corner of my pool. It is on a 8 hour timer and usually runs about two weeks on a fill.
A: You can adjust the flow at the pump. I think. We run the way it came and it works great We like the sound. It doesn't splash out unless we have a windy day. It is on our Lanai, so if it's windy, we get some water on the floor.
A: I can not remember if the pump has a adjustment , and its winter and mine is all wraped and covered , but mine does not splash out.
A: It's gorgeous ... you can hear the flow but it is not loud and not adjustable but its very calming. On a very windy day it may splash some, other than that, no it does not splash outside of the base.
A: mine is for outside use so not concerned about any noise, didn't even think about it when purchasing.. the amount of water flowing is steady and the sound is what you would want to hear, sort o peaceful. it is best to keep the reservoir full, it will get a bit noisy(the pump) it the water gets too low, which of course is not good. Mine is set up on a timer to come n at night in my garden patio area. I have not noticed any splashing at all, I add water every few weeks, turning off when traveling..
A: 1) Yes the water flow is adjustable on the pump itself and describes how to adjust in the owners manual that comes with the unit, and 2) The water flow is louder than the 2 other fountains we have this size, which was perfect for our intent, as it was a gift to my brother in law who lives next to a very busy street in PHX Metro AZ and you can hear the water flow over the traffic, and 3) The fountain did initially splash just a few drops now and again on his outside patio (because I overfilled it the first time a little) but if you allow the water level to evaporate while running for a few days, and turn down the volume, it can be used inside without any splashing!!
A: We have ours outside. It was not loud enough for us so we added a few small river stone and it increased the volume. We play with the volume by adding and eliminating stones. The water flow can be adjusted by the pump. That would affect both splashing and volume.
A: No water flow is not adjustable and it is not loud. Very pleasant sound level and does not splash much
A: no its not adjustable but the sound is great its not to loud, and no it doesn't splash outside. I love this fountain and all my friends love this fountain great purchase.
A: No
A: Not much splashing but some. Flow is adjustable. The noise is why you buy it.
A: I don't know the exact weight however, when it is empty it isn't that heavy. I am not strong by any means but can move the fountain easily on my own when it is empty.
A: 15lbs
A: It’s been a while since we have moved ours but it seems it was under 20 lbs. of course it weighs double that when it is filled with water.
A: The weight is 43.9 pounds.
A: About 35- 40 pounds dry.
A: 41 lbs and will easily stand up to breezy areas
A: About 40 lbs without water in it.
A: The weight of the fountain is only a few pounds (less than 5) although it looks heavier. Works Very Well. Do not have to keep adding water to it as we did with previous fountains. Very satisfied. Would recommend.
A: Hi, This item is currently in stock online. The Homedepot.com will allow you to place the order for whatever quantity is available at the time in the online inventory. Thanks for shopping Home Depot.
A: Yes, the back has the look of wood. There is a rectangular section that slides out so you can reach the pump.
A: It looks like wood all the way around
A: The back is completely covered like a stump and has a removable door that you can get to the pump and pull the power cords out.
A: Yes, with a matching access panel to pump and power cord.
A: yes its very nice
A: Yes! It looks like a carved log all the way around ,with a nice door over the pump access in the back that matches the log look, so all that shows is the cord coming out above the tank level. This could easily be hidden with a small potted plant if the back will be exposed to view.
A: Yes
A: Yes it looks like the back of a tree that was cut out.
A: Yes it does have wood look k in back.
A: The back does have the same wood look and there is a sliding door to cover the opening for the pump to be inserted. It is also wood look.
A: No. But the evaporating water will leave whatever residue is in the water behind.
A: No.
A: We use tap water in ours with no issues, but as the water evaporates and dust blows into the water using it outside in southern AZ, the water will start to get cloudy after a few months! To resolve this, simply take the pump out and flush the tank, then refill with fresh water....and/or I drop a single chlorine pellet (the small hot tub size) into the tank and this helps to keep any bacteria from growing and keeps the water clear.
A: We use ours outside and use water from the hose. I cleaned it a couple of times throughout the summer. It does get a bit green over time.
A: No just regular hose water
A: no
A: it calls for it , I guess if you are in a area that has hard water , it could over time lessen the flow throw the nipple at the first tier. I just put reg. water in it. and have had no problems.
A: no
A: No it does not require distilled water. It would keep the pump operation in better shape for more years of use. If using city faucet water you should be fine.
A: It would be usable inside as long as you have the fountain flow adjusted properly. It is pretty big though so don't see it being in a small bathroom
A: Yes, you can use the waterfall indoors.
A: I would use it anywhere in the house as you can adjust the water flow up/down on the pump! Just be aware of how high the level is in the tank. Do not overfill!!
A: How long is the power cord ?
A: This model can be used indoors, but you would need to install a water catch in the front of it for any possible water splashes that happen. I've seen minimal drips reach the outside area.
A: No. It would splash out.
A: I wouldn't use it in a bedroom but I'm sure you could
A: you could but I think its nice outside.
A: Room for small birds, but waterfall might prevent them from using it.
A: The birds do take a bath in it. There is enough room for hummingbirds to blue jays to get a bath. They get right in there. They all use it for drinking out of too. This has been our experience with this fountain.
A: Ummm, this is a fountain, with a suction pump in the bottom of the water tank reservoir that needs to stay clear of any larger debris (like bird feathers, leaves, etc) so it does not become clogged and cause the pump to fail!! The idea of a fountain of this size is to have it close enough for humans to enjoy the sound and look of the falling water. I do have smaller birds (Sparrows, Thrashers, etc) that stop by and get a drink, but if you want a bird bath, there are bird bath fountains built for that purpose, and in the same price range as this one! I would not recommend placing this fountain where the birds would be encouraged to use it in this manner!! Just a suggestion :)
A: Birds of that size not really. A small bird the size of a finch yes.
A: I have had Robins take a bath in ours. I don't about a Crow or a Pigeon. If so, it would have to be the bottom pool.
A: Solid
A: Base is hollow to allow for the water.
A: The base is solid resin type material. Roughly 40 lbs and very sturdy.
A: The base is hollow, it is where you fill the water and place the pump
A: Thick but hollow , that's where the water res. is .
A: Fran, I have had mine for a couple of months now. Unlike other fountains that I have had I don't have to add water daily. We have wind here quite a bit but still the fountain holds it water. I have birds that come to the fountain to drink, small birds bathe and still can go about 4 days before I have to top it off with water.
A: We add water once a week simply to keep it fresh
A: I filled ours with about 4-5 gallons of water.
A: I have had this fountain now for about 3 months. I usually need to add water about once every 2 weeks. I don't have the pump as high as it could go to avoid splash
A: This holds 448 ounces of water.
