A:  We would not suggest to install tile over a shower base. We do not offer anything that is made specifically to be tiled over.

A:  Hello and thank you for your question. This is George from our How to community. Yes you can use tiles in combination with this shower base. For the lasting installation you would need to assure that surround cement board is overlapping the lip of the shower base and that the bottom 3 feet of the cement board are waterproofed with the Red Guard type of sealer. Please refer to the related product section for the picture of the recommended products. There is really no need for the pre pan but spraying Great Stuff type of foam under the pan, after the walls are in place, its an excellent and inexpensive insurance. Hope this Helps

A:  Yes, ceramic tile may be used with this base.

A:  Unfortunately this unit cannot be modified to fit smaller spaces.
