Questions and Answers for Americana Decor 8 oz. Restore Chalky Paint

A:  You can apply to upholstery, but only on decorative pieces only (i.e. pillows). If you plan on sitting on or using the chair, we would not recommend, as the paint will dry hard and will crack when used. -DecoArt Paint Guru

A:  I am the manufacturer of Americana Decor Chalky Paint which is a totally different product than the Behr paint samples you are asking about. You may have to contact someone directly at Home Depot in order to get an answer

A:  An 8 oz. jar covers approx 50 square feet on a sealed surface. It depends on how large your desk is. To be on the safe side, I would purchase (2) jars.

A:  Good morning Dolly. Yes, Chalky Finish would be perfect for you cabinets as this product requires not sanding or primer prior to applying. You would just need to clean the cabinets thoroughly. I would recommend finishing with one of our Americana Decor Varnishes since kitchen cabinets are high traffic areas and the Chalky Finish is a super matte finish and will pick up finger prints. As far as the number of jars, it depends on the number of cabinets you are painting. We advise that and 8 oz jar covers approx 30 sq ft. This can be affected by how light the color is and how dark the color of cabinets you are painting.

A:  Unfortunately, the Restore Chalky Paint is only available in the 8oz size. Typically, an 8oz jar will cover around 40 sq feet, depending on the surface. -DecoArt Paint Guru

A:  The color blue is labeled at Colonial Blue and is a light blue with a grey tint.

A:  It's a dusky, moody blue. Paints on just as the cover shown above.

A:  It is a softer blue. Serene is lighter blue, but this one is a light blue too. I posted pictures on a review. Maybe you can find them.
