Answer This Question

A:  Unfortunately it doesn’t that I could find. I ended up drilling a few small screws to attach directly to our gutter downspout. Not perfect but works fine

A:  I'm not sure, but for some connections I successfully used an approximately 6 inch piece of regular corrugated drain pipe.

A:  There's no "trick": the connection is made using a 4" "O" clamp that tightens over the 4" plastic pipe once it is inserted around the connector on the catch basin. The "O" clamps are relatively inexpensive and can be tightened with a standard screwdriver.

Q:Can I get FLEX-Drain 4 in. x 25 ft. Copolymer Solid Drain Pipe come in BROWN, possibly by special order?

                    Answer This Question

A:  If you are looking for brown "Flex" drain pipe, no. I looked online and they do not have it. If you are flexible on brand, Amerimax makes a brown flexible downspout and there might even be other brands. I would assume that a majority of your tubing may be used underground so you might consider using the black drain pipe underground and then using the brown downspout extension for you gutters (or whatever) to connect to the black tubing for aesthetic reasons. I would add that you should think carefully if you want to use drain pipe or a french drain pipe. If you are just trying to route water away from the house and there are no other drainage issues, solid drain pipe may be your answer. However, if there are other drainage issues along your drain pipe route, you might consider using a french drain pipe solution to gather water from other areas of poor drainage. Plan everything well ahead of execution or you may find yourself digging up your original solution for a better one. (How do I know this? I'm changing out sections of solid pipe right now for a french drain solution that will better serve my drainage issues).

                      Answer This Question

A:  FXD Pro is standard corrugated pipe with 18” bends every 4’. It’s thicker and sturdier, more in line with commercial pipe. Basically you can stand on the FXD Pro and it won’t crush. Made of HDPE, Standard FXD bends more easily (combination of PP and HDPE), is easier to manipulate around obstacles, but you don’t cut the pipe for fittings…you just expand or collapse pipe to the correct length needed and install any fitting on the cuffs. I hope this answers your question.
