Where is the adapter that attaches to the other end?

Answer This Question

This Stealth Flow 4 in. Black Vinyl Corrugated Pipe Adapter is designed to connect to the "end" of our Stealth Flow Extension. The extension will need to be cut with a utility knife on the end that has "StealthFlow" embossed on it. There is a molded line where the cut is to be made. Once cut, the adapter can be slid into the Stealth Flow Extension.

You need to cut on the line on the “male” end to allow the adapter to be placed inside the stealth flow.

Nice 'push & click' transition piece. Works seamlessly with the Flex-Drain Pro 4" pipe (perforated or non-perforated) and SleathFlow Low Profile Extension. When doing a job, I always use the same manufacturer for all my connections (SleathFlow and Flex-Drain are the same company). One companies pipe, may not mate with another's (e.g. OD vs ID).

This transition piece is just what I needed which is not at all what it was designed for. First, it's really much heavier-duty than the pictures show. It's made of a good stiff plastic and the thing that looks like a hole is really vertical reinforcement. I got it to provide some back pressure on the airflow of my greenhouse's in-ground heat storage system. I wanted to get a more horizontal flow and this works great. I'm sure it would work well as the drain transition it was designed to be too.

I have vast experience with Stealthflow products. You will see in the pictures and videos where I use them at my own home. After 4-5 years, the plastic construction has not deteriorated at all. There are so many options/products that it’s not fare to really highlight a single item as every situation is different but, I can contest that Stealthflow has products for your drainage needs. I have yet to have a customer complain. Two Thumbs Up!

This StealthFlow product is made to connect to another StealFlow extension. This transition piece connects to a round corrugated rainwater discharge pipe. We have connected this transition piece to a downspout discharge where we needed a low clearance for a gate to pass over and open. The tip of the transition piece is well-built to take some weight as it has a piece molded in the middle to support the middle section from caving in. Overall, this product was easy to install and would be easy to remove and install elsewhere if needed.

This transition piece is meant for surface mount onto a low profile extension from the same manufacturer. No tool is needed for the connection. Just insert it into the downspout pipe and the connection feel secure and yet it can be remove easily. However, I do recommend using plastic tires or plumbing bands to secure the connection so it would be easy dislodged when you accidentally kicked it.

I was not sure that this was the answer to a problem that had nothing to do with water flow, but I like it! I had a squirrel that kept running up this water spout, to run across my roof, to a nest in the back yard. This spout has stopped the squirrel from running up the spout, AND, as an added benefit, it does help to dissipate the flow of water out the pipe so that it is not digging a trench in the lawn by erosion!

This transition piece is used with Stealthflow's 2 and 5 ft long oval or low profile extensions so my review discusses them used together. Some people described the transition piece as "flimsy" but I thought it is in line with the construction of other items sued as part of a corrugated drain system such as couplings. It has an adequate number of barbs to hold it to the corrugated drain and it inserts as a male adapter to Stealthflow's extension. I was a bit surprised that there doesn't seem to be a female adapter if someone wants to transition back to 4 inch corrugated. This cannot be used on the opposite end of the extensions since they are NOT the same on both ends nor would using an internal transition be the appropriate way to continue the connections since debris could build easily if the outgoing transition were a male adapter too. The dimple on the flat end of the adapter locks the transition into the extension nicely and requires a bit of work to get it back out. While this dimple creates a firm attachment to the extensions it also creates a spot where debris from gutters and downspouts might start to build up and clog the extension so it seems important to have a simple way to disconnect the 4 inch corrugated drain to flush out this transition and the connected extension. Still, the dimple is more desireable than the pieces coming apart too easily. It took me awhile to realize that the maker doesn't seem to consider this as part of an overall drain system that would continue with more 4 inch corrugated drain to perhaps take water all the way to the curb, a ditch or some other drain provision. I plan to use this with a five foot extension under a piece of concrete sidewalk that will be replaced in the near future. I would really like to see a famale transition for the other end so I can run 4 inch corrugated down the hillside at the far end of my sidewalk. See the photo of where it will go under broken concrete to be replaced.

This is as good as any other one i have seen so far across various stores i have looked for this. Fits well with my existing stuff so works well for me. It is as flimsy or sturdy as it can get. I like it and would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for such connectors or extension. It is long enough and has the right positioning and shape to connect with other similar stuff
