Q:Is it possible to install a wind chain to this door? They are normally installed to the top of the door. I have had to replace 2 closer pistons due to the wind catching the door.

A: There's no screen between, nor in front of the glass. the screen rolls up into the top piece of the storm door frame. the glass surface is accessible from either side, without any obstruction.

A: Thank you for your question. The Andersen 3000 Series Self-Storing Storm Door has a retractable insect screen that disappears into the top of the door panel when not in use for ventilation anytime. The insect screen is attached to the upper ventilating window. The ventilating window can be moved up and down by using/releasing the window latches. The window latches also lock the window in a certain position.
