    A:  These shades do come with hold down brackets that will secure the bottom rail of the shade in place if you choose to mount it on a door.

      A:  Yes, you can see through the mesh portion of the shade. You can fully raise them and that will allow you to see out of your window. Otherwise, they will softly filter the light into your room when they are fully closed.

              A:  Yes, it will work. There will be extra bunched at the bottom since it will be longer than your actual window. If you are OK with that aesthetic, then it should be fine.

                A:  Sorry, these cannot be shortened at all. But, our best suggestion is that you just will not fully unroll the shades. You can use the cord to adjust how long you want the shade to hang. It may be a bit off from the normal aesthetic, but if you can work around that then these may work for you.
