Q:How close can this stove be to a stone wall in rear of unit
    by|Dec 21, 2017

    Answer This Question

A:  So long as the stone wall does not contain any flammable materials, you can place it at 12"

    by|May 5, 2023

A:  Instruction depict a 16 inch gap from whatever wall. You don't want to cut corners there as the heat generated over time can really cook the closest wall.

Q:Does the blower have any type of thermostat?

        Answer This Question

A:  There is no blower visible and when I used the blower it never turned off. I don't think it actually has much effect from what I can tell so far. I wouldn't have paid for the blower had I had the option and had seen one in action. It is a pretty quiet motor though, so that is good

        by|Dec 12, 2018

A:  The blower is a variable speed blower, however there is not a thermostat on the blower.

Q:Does the outside of the stove stay cool enough to not cause burns if touched briefly. Is it safe around children and pet

            Answer This Question

A:  The outside of the unit will be warm to the touch but overall, it is safe for children and pets.

            by|May 4, 2023

A:  If the outside of a stove stayed cool enough to touch it would not be a heating device. It is designed to capture as much of the heat of the fire as possible and transport that heat to air around the stove. The blower device doesn't move but a small fraction of the heat. The majority of heat transmitted from the fire into the stove is radiated from the stoves outer surface and the stove pipe. If you want something that children cant get burned on, you are not looking for a wood stove. The user manual instructs you to close the air vent to turn down the burning if you stove actually starts glowing. It would not be that difficult to fill this thing and have it get hot enough to be seen glowing red with your lights off. That is "overburning" but it clearly indicates how really hot a wood stove can get.

Q:Do any of these stoves have a rear flue rather than top?

                Answer This Question

A:  All wood stoves will have a top flue for the draft. Pellet/ multifuel units have a rear flue.

                by|May 4, 2023

A:  There is no place on the back of this model that a flue could be attached. It is not part of the design of this stove model.

Q:Is there a cooktop on this? Or burners?

                    Answer This Question

A:  No, there is not a cook top or burners on this stove.

                    by|May 4, 2023

A:  No, the top surface is not really designed to cook on. It will get hot enough that you could set a kettle on it for coffee but if you used the top for any form of cooking it would probably damage the porcelain surface with use. I have a cast iron kettle I sit atop the stove, more for decoration. I might sometime put herbs or potpourri in it at holidays to give off a steamy scent but I cm careful to not move the kettle around on the top of the stoove because I think it would be easy to mar the porcelain surface over time

                        A:  Here are the dimensions for this product: 27.5"D x 31.6"H x 31.6"W.

                        by|May 4, 2023

A:  Fully assembled the stove is 30 inches wide by 30 inches deep by 31 1/2 inches tall. But if you check out the installation instructions the stove must be offset for safety on all sides from any walls. That offset is an additional 18 inches from the sides and an additional 16 inches from the back of the stove.
