Q:It is critical that the paint be breathable for Masonry (Brick) application. In looking at the specks, it does not say breathable. Acrylic is not usually breathable. Sealing the brick from water evaporation will contribute to spalling & other Problems

Q:Do you need to use a primer before applying to masonry or is it enough to power wash first?

Answer This Question
A: Hi Diane, thank you for your question. The Masonry, Stucco and Brick Paint is self-priming. However, if after cleaning the surface remains chalky, then we recommend priming with the Multi-Surface Primer and Sealer No. 436. You'll also want to prime patched areas. Good luck with your project! -Giovanna

Answer This Question
A: Hi Shannon - Thanks for reaching out. As it turns out, our Masonry, Stucco & Brick paint is not fire-proof and we don't recommend using it on a fire pit. We do not have any other products that can be used on a fire pit, so it's best to ask your local hardware store for other options. Enjoy the rest of your day! -Christina
