      A:  Hi Matt, thanks for the question. Our Marquee Exterior Paint is a great choice for painting an exterior vinyl door, If the door is smooth, I'd recommend scuff-sanding the surface of the door first to help with adhesion. Have a great day! -Ronald

        Q:Can I use an 800watt HVLP Spray gun with to spray this marquee exterior paint? If so how many oz of water per gallon dilution, I know you guys recommend an airless sprayer but I don’t have one. Thank you!

        A:  Hi Andrew, thanks for your question. As it turns out, we don't recommend using an HVLP sprayer with our Marquee Exterior Paint, or any of our products since they tend to be too thick. If you don't have n airless sprayer to use, it's best to use a 3/8in nap roller or nylon/polyester brush to apply this paint. Have a great day! -Christina

          Q:Hello there, I know you recommend an airless sprayer and 8oz of water to dilute paint to use airless sprayer. My question is can this be spray with a small air gun sprayer, if is possible how many more oz of water per gallon you recommend to dilute?

          A:  Hi Andrew, thanks for your question. As it turns out, we don't recommend using a conventional air sprayer to apply our Marquee Exterior paint. Instead, you can use an airless sprayer, 3/8in nap roller, or nylon/polyester brush. Also, please keep in mind that we don't recommend adding more than 8oz of water per gallon to thin out this paint.             A:  Hi Andre, thanks for your question. A separate primer is not required before applying this paint; our Marquee Exterior paint is self-priming, and the first coat of paint will act as a primer, while additional coats will provide full coverage. Good luck with your project! -Christina

                A:  Hi MinnesotaPainter, thank you for your question. Our Marquee Exterior Paint is self-priming, and you do not have to reprime before recoating the surface. To prepare your surface, I recommend making sure that it's clean and dry and scuff sanding if glossy for the best adhesion. Have a great day! -Lina
