A:  Hi Weimgirl, thank you for your question. It's best to apply the Deckover when conditions are optimal. Surface and air temperatures should be between 50-90F and humidity ideally less than 80%. Applying in the middle of the day (direct sunlight) can speed up the dry time, which may not allow time to work with the product. High surface/air/wind temperatures will evaporate moisture from the coating too quickly, causing it to dry too fast and become hard to work with. Have a great day! - Randy

A:  Hi Beth, thank you for your question. The difference between our DeckOver and Advanced DeckOver is that the formula has been updated to provide enhanced adhesion. Our DeckOver has a 2-year shelf life when unopened and stored in a room-temperature environment. I recommend opening the container and checking for any inconsistencies with the product that seem off. The term "For use on properly prepared wood" just means that the wood is properly prepped before applying the product, such as removing any existing coating that is loose or failing or cleaning the surface with our All-In-One Wood Cleaner. Applying the coating to a surface that isn't properly prepped could cause the coating to fail prematurely. All the prep instructions are listed on the can and the product page on our website. A:  Hi Debbie, thank you for your question. A clear sealer, such as our Wet-Look Sealer, can be applied on top of the Advanced Deckover to achieve a glossier appearance. Keep in mind that this may smooth out the textured profile and can be slippery when wet. Have a great day! - Randy

A:  Hi kenr, thank you for your question. The Textured DeckOver can be used on new cedar boards. Use the All-In-One Wood Cleaner to prep the wood and allow it to dry completely before applying the recommended two coats. Also, be sure to coat all six sides of the wood. Have a great day! -Giovanna
