A:  Hi Vivi, thanks for the question. We don't recommend using our products on countertops because they are not approved for use on surfaces that come into direct contact with food. Also, the constant cleaning and exposure to water could cause the coating to fail prematurely. A separate primer is not required with our Ultra Scuff Defense Paint, as it is self-priming; the first coat acts as a primer and additional coats provide full coverage. As it turns out, Chimney is just the name of this color and we do not recommend using any of our interior paints on the inside of a chimney since they are not designed for extreme heat over 140F.
