Q:How do the lights work at night? I have my umbrella open in the day and they don’t work at night. Trying to figure out if there’s a certain time they need in the sun to be charged up? And if the switch needs to be turned to off while in the sun?

A:  Switch needs to be in the off (O) position along with 8-12hrs of direct sunlight onto the solar cell. If your umbrella is old, chances are the (3) rechargeable (AAA) batteries will need to be replaced.
