A:  Hello and thanks for contacting us. The 1/2" thick x 5" wide Charleston Sand Engineered hardwood floor has been discontinued and no longer available. We do offer it in a solid 3/4" thick x 3" wide (Model # 20372), solid 3/4" thick x 5" wide (Model # 20378) and a click engineered 3/8" thick x 5' wide (Model # 20382). A:  Hello and thanks for contacting us. Since this is a prefinished floor we do not recommend applying additional finish on top of the finish already applied. More than likely it will not adhere or will start flaking off over time. You would need to do a pad and recoat but this would void your finish warranty. A:  Hello and thanks for contacting us. This is a random length product and pieces can range from 9" up to 48" pieces. The product is boxed as it comes off the line and there is no guarantee what the lengths will be. When installing the floor it is recommended to work from several boxes to mix in the different lengths.

A:  Hello and thanks for contacting us. This product can be installed over poreclain tile as long as it is within required spec of flatness. The tile floor should be flat or made to be flat to 3/16" in a 8ft radius. You will need to lay an underlayment with an attached moisture barrier on top of the porcelain tile prior to installing the floor.

A:  This product receives seven coats of Aluminum Oxide that is UV-cured. This process enhances the strength of the finish, thus making the finish very durable. As long as the product is properly maintained and cared for, the finish will protect the product. A:  I don’t know about 50 years yet, but I’ve had mine over a year and it still looks great.

A:  Thank you for you interest and inquiry on our product. This product is wire brushed prior to finishing so the product will not be a smooth surface but instead will have some surface character. It is then finished with a low gloss finish coat. Between the two it gives the floor a low sheen/matte look.
