Q:When you say Organic, does that mean it is pesticide free? Please explain the safety of this product? What are the ingredients?!
by|May 10, 2022

Answer This Question

A:  The term "pesticide" is defined by the EPA as Any substance or mixture of substances intended for preventing, destroying, repelling, or mitigating any pest. Any substance or mixture of substances intended for use as a plant regulator, defoliant, or desiccant. As always safety lies in the hands of the applicator. Be sure to apply the product per the instructions on the label. You can reseed the treated area after the desirable level of weed control is obtained. Once the product is allowed to dry completely it is safe for household pets to be reintroduced to the area. The active ingredients are Caprylic acid and Capric acid.

              Q:Will this kill briars?
              by|Apr 20, 2022
              1 Answer
              Answer This Question

A:  Hi Mike. Thank you for your great question. Bonide Deadweed Brew RTU does not list Briars as a weed it is effective killing. The recommended procedure for permanently removing briars from your property is to either dig up the root ball after pruning the briar back or covering the pruned back plant with a light depriving tarp to deprive it from light. “Another way to get rid of them, is to dig around the base of the briar plants with a scoop shovel. Use the shovel as a lever, reach under the root ball and lift up to dislodge it from the ground. Dispose of the whole briar plant, especially the root tips.” (https://homeguides.sfgate.com) Their main reproduction strategy is by tip rooting. Each winter the growing tip of a vine will enter the ground and form roots starting a clone some distance from the original thus eventually covering large areas. You still may have to treat the area several times in fall and spring to be sure of getting rid of all of the tip roots. https://www.homedepot.com/s/How%2520to%2520kill%2520briar%2520vines?NCNI-5 Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. Q:Will this permanently kill Bermuda grass (aka the grass from H3ll)? I'm getting too old to dig out the roots, only to have them come back again the next year. Front and back yards are entirely bermuda, want to replace it with Buffalo Grass instead.
