Answer This Question

A:  Thanks for asking abou the 9810WH wall heater. Installation questions can be tricky as we can not see the project area. If you are replacing and older unit, then most likely you have everything you need - - the wiring is already there, and you've done the measurements. As in any home DIY project something could crop up, but you should be fine. A:  After checking the spec sheet and verifying the actual installed dimensions, the unit is 11.5 inches wide and 14.75 inches tall. You must install it vertically since there is a forced air feature that requires this mount. It will fit in a cavity that is between the standard wall studs.

A:  The grille dimensions are as follows: 14-3/4" x 11-9/16".

                A:  Yes, it is 120/240 V.

A:  Always check the manufacturers information sheet and ask the sales person if the item is a DUAL voltage device. If so, follow the instruction sheet for the correct wiring procedure. If the device is NOT listed as a dual voltage device, then it is NOT able to connect to any wiring that is outside the product voltage rating.

                    A:  Yes, it can.

                      Answer This Question

A:  The Wattage does not depend on Input Voltage. The instructions will describe how to connect the wiring for either 120 VAC, 60 HZ and 240 VAC, 60 HZ. The unit comes wired for 120 VAC 60 Hz.

A:  If this unit is wired to 120V or 240V, the wattage is still the same. You do not loose or gain performance. Thank you.

                        Answer This Question

A:  The wall cut out will need to be 125/8" high x 105/8" wide.

                        by|May 3, 2023

A:  Open the box, take out the installation plans, read the rough-in dimensions and cut the wall opening per the dimensions. Make sure to supply the correct wiring and fuse box connections. The finished trim face is larger than the rough-in opening, so it will cover the enclosure. Just read and be careful. If done right, there should be no need for repainting the wall cut-out.

A:  The following dimensions should be helpful: Cut-out: 12-1/2” H X 10-1/2” W x 3-3/8” D. Grille: 14-3/4”H x 11-9/16” W. If you have questions before you begin this project, dial 888-336-6151 and speak with our Technical Support Department. Thank you.
