A:  It depends on how tight they fit. I used adhesive caulk, but also to keep bugs out

A:  No screws needed they just pop on the top of the post just like a post cap. Mine aren’t quite a tight fit so I am applying 2-sided tape to secure them.

A:  I really don’t think that would work. They are made to fit on posts, not to screw down.

A:  Hello, Our model SLO82W are a compression fit for metal and aluminum posts. They do not have installation holes in them for screws. We would suggest alternatives such as our deck & wall lights that will mount on the side of your 2x4's.
